My 3 year old has never liked haircuts and it had gotten to the point of being impossible. A friend recommended Charlie at Unique Hair and Ink, as her two boys go to him and love him. It was such a great experience. It started rough, as usual, but my son warmed up really quickly and Charlie was great at playing with him and distracting him to get the job done. He got down on the floor and did whatever it took to make my son comfortable. Would highly recommend, we won’t be going anywhere else!
Would not go here for a tattoo at all. While their work is decent, Mitch especially will more than likely reschedule you multiple times then once he is called out, his colleagues will say it’s not worth his time or “do justice for your design” and will give you whatever he drew up.
You contact him via instagram and he’ll maybe respond to you in a day or a week and give an excuse. I wanted to branch out and try another artist for my 9th tattoo but clearly isn’t worth your time or energy or hard worked PTO. Understandably the job was a big one but he clearly couldn’t handle it and was to shy to say so
If you want a tattoo artist that respects your time in the Mankato area, go to Mecca or Cactus.
The whole atmosphere of the shop and the quality of haircut and conversation you get are definitely five star. If you’re a man looking for a good barbershop. This one is great.
Great service. Great hair cut. I cannot comment on the tattoo side of the business, however, the barbers are friendly and accommodating.
I have visited twice and plan on going back again.
Richmond got my boy super proud of his thick, course, curly hair. Turned out way better than when I tried and he ended up crying because... Yeah, I'm not a hair guy.

My whole experience from getting a quote to walking out the door was absolutely flawless. Mike emailed me back the same day I requested a quote and was just as excited as I was about the design. Throughout the whole session mike was great and did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable. As someone who has had uncomfortable experiences in the past at various tattoo shops, it is something I always have my radar up for but there was absolutely no need at Unique. As just a cherry on top, I don’t personally know the owner but I do know that their businesses are well respected within the community and I have heard nothing but amazing things about them from people in the public. I feel good knowing that my money is going to a true homegrown business, I really think they have a special environment that this area needed. I can’t wait to see what mike and I can do in the future!
Fantastic place. I have Nick cut my hair but any of the guys are exceptional. Very friendly atmosphere with top quality work.
Ty is so much fun to be around. He does amazing work.
