We had a reservation at 830 and showed up a few minutes and the host was incredibly attentive and made sure that we were sat exactly where we wanted. After being sat we were immediately greeted by our waitress and given water. Service was AMAZING! I ordered a speciality cocktail with flowers in its name, and it was incredible. My husband had their Union Old Fashioned and he loved. We were really impressed with one of their new sushi chef’s from Mongolia. He made some amazing rolls for us! Atmosphere was great, music was a complete vibe as well
I’ve been meaning to review this restaurant but keep forgetting. Here goes. We absolutely look forward to dining here every time we visit Chicago. This is our go-to place. The various specialty rolls and sashimi dishes are great. Top it off with delicious BBQ skewers and some great sake and we’ve got an evening that everyone loves. The staff is friendly and efficient. It can get a little loud inside the restaurant at times but the noise level has not stopped us from coming here.
The Pacific Coast roll was so overpriced. $21 for stale rice wrapped in tough seaweed? The roll was also grossly warm, despite it containing no cooked fish. I spent less than 10 minutes in this restaurant, ordering and eating quickly. When the waitress brought the check, she stood over me and stared me down. Since the food was not great and the service was nothing spectacular, I decided to not leave a tip. The waitress had the audacity to ask me if I was going to leave a cash tip then. Tipping should not be something forced upon customers, especially those who only order one item and are in and out in less than 10 minutes. I will never be eating here again and will advise all others to steer clear of this restaurant.
New favorite spot in Chicago! Food and service were outstanding! The salmon sashimi appetizer is delicious! Toro was awesome and the tuna crispy rice was also incredible! Highly recommend ????
They had solid veggie options and offered the ability to easily swap out the seafood for sweet potato, mushrooms, etc. the truffle roll was amazing and the fish was super fresh. Great sushi spot!
If I could give this place 6+ stars I would. It was a beautiful representation of a nice modern look and gave the restaurant a warm home like vibe. When we first walked in they immediately took us up within a minute of getting there. They were so welcoming and after sitting down for a few minutes before even getting the food, my whole family said that they already liked it there because the service was so good. This place is perfect for all ages. Our waitress was perfect and she was super quick. The music was kid friendly and the restaurant had a dark look, so it felt cozy. Great for any occasion big or small and not extremely pricey either. When receiving the food and eating it, my mouth was in love. The presentation was awesome and the food was phenomenal. This is now going to be a go to place for everyone. Even the dessert was delicious. Highly recommend!
Didn't come here expecting much but had a great meal - wonderful service and food. We tried a salad, grilled lamb and eggplant, sushi roll, and fish collar. A few interesting Japanese beers for variety. Just moved to this part of town a few months ago and this is one of the better finds in the area. Looking forward to our next visit.
Went here for my birthday and sat in front of the grill. It feels casual and fancy at the same time. What may seem like a little food definitely filled us up. I loved the lamb, super tender! The service was really good. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
