So I normally go to someone else to braid my hair but she happened to be booked up for the month so my friend recommended Unik touch because this is where she goes whenever she gets braids . I always love her hair however it’s all the way in Baltimore which is rather far for me considering I don’t have a car at the moment. So I scheduled and appointment with the owner communication was quick and easy . I bought the train and Ubered to get there for my 8am appointment however I got there about 30 mins early. The owner Mayaah greeted me and said your early we have to pray first but I’m glad you are here. That was like music to my ears cause If you know me you know . Every morning she leads praise and worship and sings a few hymns with her staff followed by a prayer . To God be the glory I am in the right place i thought to myself . The entire time she played gospel music to created such a peaceful space . All of her Braiders are extremely nice and they have a buddy system that makes a fast and easy turnover rate . I got small butt length boho knotless and it took 4 hours . I will be back this place is nothing short of amazing . All the Braiders were great judging by the customers i seen leaving. Book now it was the best decision I ever made
The place was closed on a day they were supposed to be opened. They did not have the hair needed to complete the requested style and are grossly overcharged overall. The owner is argumentative and rude. They constantly change their prices and they scam you into additional services by offering them to you for free then charging you at the counter during check out. The front of my style is nice but the back is terrible and the parts are sloppy. Also they are not knotless which is bad for the hair. They also talk about you in hopes that you don't understand their dialect of French. I wouldn't recommend at all. Bad representation of Black woman owned business.

Cool spot for last minute braids. Make sure to ask who can actually do the braided style. I had a little incident it it was corrected.
Love love loveeee...my hair. They always finish within time and no guessing on the price. The braiders and guy that check you out are so nice. I came in with a picture and they executed!
I was trying to be cheap… school about to start again & I have 6 little people to prepare to return to school, so coins are more than tight right now! I called another braiding salon whom was charging less for the style I wanted, but something in me knew I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t go to Unik Touch. Their parts are crisp, styles just look clean… they take great pride in their work! At 9pm’ish last night, I reached out to Unik Touch via IG asking if they could please fit me in for an appointment next day. The owner (Ms Mayaah) was so accommodating! We literately messaged back & forth until well after 11 (my fault as I was washing my hair with hopes she’d find space for me). Today, I get to the salon & didn’t realize she informed me that I needed to buy the messy hair for my style. Went to the hair store, they didn’t have the hair. Ms. Mayaah yet again accommodated me by separating my color from some bundles they have in the salon! What else could anyone ask for?!?!?! I mean really!! She could have ignored my message as it came in well after business hours! She could have said find someone else to do it, considering the headaches of a customer I probably am! Service is impeccable! I am writing this as I sit here getting my hair done. Although out of my budget, I am confident I’m going to love my hair & I so appreciate the level of service!
I do not recommend this establishment. The owner, Mayaah, is disrespectful and rude. They are deceiving with prices and the services they provide. Mayaah made prior arrangements with me and did not follow through even following discussion and showing proof. Terrible business model

But; i did not feel it was knotless & Im not fond of 3 people doing my hair. One is pulling you in one direction 2 others are pulling you in hers. Smh ..Too much. Never exp.this before.
A few things Rubbed me the wrong way. The owner was rude she'll talk to someone pertaining to you like your not standing there.
However To each it's own. Just not my kind of establishment. Make sure you let them know you want your edges out too ...
