Best KPortal Reviews
The meals here didn't have a lot of flavor. Kind of bland. The tortillas chips and spicy salsas were very good. The regular salsa was very poor tasteless. The churros dessert was also disappointing. They had no sugar and cinnamon on them. The chocolate dip was good. The caramel not so good it was very watery.
We stopped in mid-week for lunch. The staff was super attentive to us and greeted us at the hostess station, congratulating my daughter on her birthday. We loved the onion and cheese enchiladas and the crispy tacos. The salsa and chips are amazing! Every element of our meal was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
My recent visit to Uncle Julio's Bridgewater left much to be desired. Despite a visible presence of staff, the service was overwhelmed, leading to an unnecessarily long wait for seating. It was perplexing to see groups of servers idle while customers struggled to find a spot.
Regrettably, the food didn't live up to expectations either. We opted for the nachos to split for lunch, only to be greeted with a meager portion that was far from satisfying. Six chips topped with pre-cooked chicken hardly constituted a meal. It would have been appreciated if the menu had accurately described the portion size, or if the staff had informed us upon ordering that the nachos were intended as a snack, not a meal.
Moreover, the service was lackluster. After enduring 15 minutes with empty drinks and plates, I finally had to flag down our waitress, who seemed preoccupied with other conversations. Requesting the check felt like a chore rather than a courtesy.
To add insult to injury, the final bill amounted to $30 for what essentially amounted to two drinks and a paltry serving of nachos. The disappointment was palpable. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the requested small portion of sour cream came with an additional charge of $1.30, a detail that was not communicated to us.
Overall, my experience at Uncle Julio's Bridgewater was underwhelming. I hope management takes note of these shortcomings and works towards improving both the service and the quality of food to provide a more enjoyable dining experience for their patrons. Additionally, it would be beneficial for staff to inform customers when ordering nachos as a meal to split that the portion size may be smaller than expected, and to clearly communicate any additional charges for condiments.
An automatic mexican restaurant in the Bridgewater Mall. Use the free parking of the mall..Elevators are there for wheelchairs. In house guacamole is fantastic. House Nachos are good. Fish Tacos are great too. Reasonable pricing. Reasonable service. Nice ambiance, pretty open.
I visited this restaurant in June of 2023. I sat at the bar. I had a very pleasurable experience. The drinks and food were good. My service was also good. It was a warm sunny day on a Sunday. Honestly felt like I was away on an island.
I would absolutely go back.
A Review of Uncle Julio’s
Nestled in the heart of Bridgewater, Uncle Julio’s offers a tantalizing journey through traditional Mexican cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant ambiance and aromatic spices whisk you away.
Let's start with the stars of the show: the tacos. Bursting with flavor and authenticity, each bite is a symphony of spices and textures. Whether you opt for the classic carnitas or the adventurous fish tacos, you're in for a treat. The combination of tender meat, fresh veggies, and homemade tortillas is simply irresistible.
Accompanying the tacos is a generous serving of rice, a staple of Mexican cuisine done justice at Uncle Julio’s. Light, fluffy, and subtly seasoned, it provides the perfect complement to the bold flavors of the tacos.
However, there was one aspect that left me slightly disappointed: the lime. As any aficionado of Latin cuisine knows, lime is not just a garnish; it's a crucial element that elevates the flavors to new heights. Unfortunately, the lime provided seemed lackluster, lacking the zesty punch that I've come to expect. It made me question if the restaurant truly grasps the significance of limes in enhancing the authenticity of their dishes.
Overall, Uncle Julio’s offers an authentic dining experience with its delectable tacos and flavorful rice. While there's room for improvement in the lime department, the restaurant's commitment to traditional Mexican flavors is commendable. If you're craving a taste of Mexico in the heart of Bridgewater, Uncle Julio’s is worth a visit.
4 for the food. But minus one for the lime.
Great Mexican Food. A bit pricey but worth it. Portions are decent. The new red salsa is a big improvement over the original brown salsa which we didn’t like. We will be back.
Love the feel of the place. Very cozy, amazing vibe. Love the atmosphere. The music was really nice. The staff was very helpful and welcoming at the same time. We actually took dinner at the bar but they provided same service as the table. Wait times are usually 25-45 mins so plan ahead. If yoi enjoy martinis. Tres Amigos martini is to die for. Love it. Also the good part is they make all the ingredients from the scratch. For food, they have amazing fajitas and love love love the cauliflower bowl. Worth every penny of it.
