First off, the food is amazing. With plenty of options to customize the meal as you see fit, they have a bit of something that should cater to everyone. The showstopper here is their sauce : we generally opt for the Garlic Butter, and we have yet to be disappointed the multiple times we've been here.
The inside of this restaurant is well cleaned, but the food itself gets messy quickly (as should be expected with a place like this), I highly recommend donning the gloves and bibs before digging into the food - maybe even wear some clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
There's a tiny bit of a nautical theme inside, but the atmosphere is somewhat similar to any take-out type of restaurant, where utility is of primary focus.
The service you receive is very basic. Your service interaction will mainly just consist of ordering your food at the counter, and then them eventually bringing the plate to your table - nothing more. Should you need anything further, expect to wait in line at the counter, or help yourself at the drink fountain/utensil area.
if you're looking for a proper sit-down restaurant, this probably will not fit the bill. They opt for a highly casual atmosphere, which is a little unfortunate considering how pricey this place can be.
Just for reference, for two people sharing a plate, and ordering two drinks, we usually spend around $70-90 here.
TLDR : Decent place with great food. Expect it to be expensive, expect a very casual atmosphere, expect basic service.
My first time here was 02/12 at around 4pm. We were kindly greeted at the front desk and asked what we would like from the menu. We ordered the $45 snow crab crab legs and shrimp boil with potatoes and corn in garlic butter to share. The food was promptly served by the woman that greeted us. Everything tasted great and was cooked to perfection but the crab legs took a lot of work to get the small amount of meat out. With two drinks the total was almost $60, kind of expensive. If you decide to try this place out, I would recommend the king crab but expect to pay good money. I may be back, the flavors and service was great.
Food was absolutely delicious!! Service is minimal. Order at the front, seat yourself and grab your own drinks. They bring food to your table which has a bucket with trash bag in it for shells and a roll of towels. Price is a bit high but is typical for seafood. Combo 4 for me - half pound crab, half pound shrimp (peel and eat) and half pound sausage, 1 potato and 1 quarter ear of corn all for $29.99. Will eat here again!!
Nice meal - split 1 lb crab/1 lb shrimp combo with hubs. With 2 drinks & a side of sausage it was about $65. Other options are less expensive though. Just added garlic butter since the dude doesn't do heat but there is a variety of hot sauce available to kick it up a notch. Super fast - not sure we waited 5 minutes after we ordered for food to arrive. Clean tables with your own trash can & paper towels. Self serve drinks. Can't be a weekly place for us ($) but we'll be back.
The next stop in my travels. Avon, Indiana. Driven by it many times but never stopped in. Today was the day. I'm impressed. My food was very good and hot. I asked for the recommended sauce and it was a great choice. Folks, if you are looking for fresh seafood, better than Red Lobster, then look no further. Thank me later. You can order ahead and pick it up. I'm sure you can have a food delivery service pick it up for you.
Had an amazing Friday evening here. Love how they are decorated for Christmas and the music is at a perfect volume to enjoy but still converse. I'd say this place is comparable in taste to the boiling but a tad cheaper. I also felt a lot more welcomed upon entering and then later when we were even offered a buttered croissant! It tasted great! We ordered a pound of shrimp, pound of king crab legs, and a pound of snow crab legs along with sausage.
I was in the mood for seafood and wanted to try this place after driving by it a few times in the past few months and was not disappointed. The service was good and the food great! The restaurant itself is nice and clean. I recommend and I will be back.
Great restaurant. Atmosphere is inviting, service was quick and pleasant, and the food was great. Everything was very flavorful and I like the drink station in which you are able to customize with lemon, sweetener, etc. I will definitely be coming back.
