Lunch was great. They had college ball on the tv, their chicken katsu is so good and the sushi is sliced large. We had happy family roll, cruchy roll, and the spicy tuna roll. Sake was hot and delicious. Fair prices, and friendly service. Will be back!
I have been going almost once a week lately for lunch. I'm enjoying the tempura and sushi lunch, usually get another roll (trying to try them all). Really good value for a lunch with enough to actually satisfy your hunger. I don't know anywhere else including 7 different vegetables in their tempura serving. For my extra roll this week I chose the Yellow Tail Roll. This is my test roll to compare with other restaurants, their roll was extremely well prepared-the green onion was spot on. I will continue to go back and I'm sure I will enjoy working my way through the list of rolls!
Food was very good. Only reason I gave it 4 was because I was camping the toilet 20 minutes later, but maybe that wasn't their fault.
Server was nice and all, but forgot to get us some of the sushi we marked on the sheet.
Good price for the amount of food you get with the lunch hibachi.
This location was better than our normal place. The servings were bigger and tasted better. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good sushi and sashimi.
Let me begin by saying that the review is for horrible service not bad food!!! The food was actually so good that after my coworkers shared hers with me I decided to come and check the place out for myself. Well I went in around 130-145 on a weekday, didn’t appear busy. Since I don’t get a long lunch, what faster then sushi. I was not greeted and after standing there (first time wasn’t sure if I seated myself) I asked if I can sit at bar. Both the lady who told me yes and another went on about there business. One cleaning off soy bottles the other wiping down clean tables - at this point I was there for over 20 min and ready to go, I got her attention and explained in the most polite manner that I could I was ready to order that I had less then 30 min left for lunch but I was eating sushi there. I ordered she brings my food to go. I was still waiting on my other food so I started opening my box, I asked for a sauce, which she literally slammed. She yelled didn’t you say it was to go and walks off. Which I clearly mentioned I was eating there. She comes back with my other order and slams the check throws my sauce in the sink (which I wasn’t finished) after that behavior I signed tipped n left) didn’t even finish my sushi. So rude! Never felt so disrespected in my life! I waited a few days to cool off so that my review wouldn’t be bias and despite loving the food… I doubt I’ll be back. Sad really!
The food was good and the atmosphere was cute but lacking. Service was practically nonexistent and when the waiters did show up they were rude and unhelpful… they brought my food out missing the entire sauce on it which the meal is known for (imagine sushi without rice… not sashimi… or soba without noodles)… I would give them another chance but after a longer time. Miso soup was very tasty.
The server sucked. He was on his phone the entire time. We couldn't get refills and he ignored us. However, the chef was wonderful. The food was perfect and he was quick. No fun show just fast cooking. We were fine with this as we were hungry.
The food was good. The service was ok. The place is a little run down and we had the hibachi, so it wasn’t a cheap meal. I just would have liked to have a better feeling about the place I was eating. They had a bunch of old chairs and tables near the hibachi and the air ducts near were we ate were pretty dirt. I imagine it is really common to take those things for granted in a place you goto work every day. I’m sure the people that own this place and great and the food was really good. It wasn’t our first choice, but the other place didn’t have a hibachi chef. Maybe there is a small number of these guys around, but our guy didn’t do the “normal” hibachi stuff like spinning the spatula and tossing the egg, bla bla bla. He was ok, just left us a little lacking on some of the flare that you might expect from a hibachi dinner.
