I looked at this place online and after being impressed by the amenities and closeness to campus, I decided to visit the leasing office to inquire about any vacancies. Even though they are booked for Fall 2024, I’m amazed by the friendliness of the staff, particularly Mike B. He took the time to add me to the waiting list and even volunteered to give me a tour of the complex. I loved seeing the exercise room , study rooms and the pool in particular. The room looks up to date and each bedroom provides enough space. He also mentioned 24 hour assistance for certain needs such as misplacing your room key. I was thoroughly impressed by this property and I hope to be a future resident.
I love this place, the first day here everyone was nice to me and the people who bring their dogs to the dog park are very nice.
I had a few accidents paying rent and they understand my problem and waived my late fee. "I always let them know I head of time what is going on"
I understand that people have to pay a lot for electricity, but the highest my roommate and I paid was like $56 each. My place was really clean when I first received my unit.
"PARKING" incredible, I park right in front of my house every day. its not like the HUB or whatever you call it now that you have to park so far away from your building on game days or just get home late at night.
The lobby, I'm not going to lie it is overate, like the game room area there is nothing ever happening there the time I've passed trough. they have games there that I don't think anyone has played them yet. But I could be mistaken, I don't go there a lot tho.
my roommates and I knew we were going to have one more roommate, but we didn't know when. two weeks after moving day he showed up out of the blue. It would have been nice if we could've get an email saying who he was or "hey you have a new roommate coming this day" but we don't care he is great super clean and speaks 3 languages.
yeah people cant drive here so be careful.
The management office and service team have always been polite and accommodating. Roommates were wonderful and I didn't have to worry about anything while staying here except studying. The grounds are great for a good walk too, lots of beautiful flower trees and bushes around.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. U Club is the worst place to live if you are a college student who needs random roommates. Do not go through their app and look for potential roommates if you need one. I was assigned with a roommate who had a 2 year old baby. I was not informed that I would be living with a baby until 1 day before I moved in. I called the staff numerous times and they told me that I was discriminating. I am a woman of color so I do not understand why this was said to me. U Club staff/headquarters did nothing to help me so I had to spend my sophomore year of college living in a situation that I could never imagine. Also, my apartment was absolutely DISGUSTING. I found maggots in the kitchen, mold, food on the walls and so much more. If you are a student or a parent of a student who has been looking at living at U CLUB just save your money and please DO NOT LIVE HERE. I would've rather lived in my car.
Definitely my worst living experience in Oxford. To start, the staff will lie to you about anything and everything to get you to sign and temporarily make you happy. My roommate and I were both told when we signed that we were getting the “best price” and that it would only go up if we waited. The price later dropped over $100 per month. Also never let them tell you that you cannot downgrade because one of our roommates was allowed to downgrade to the shared room after another was told she could not. We were also assigned a random roommate and it is evident that there is no strategy put into this whatsoever. Being very allergic to cats, I was assigned a roommate who HAS CATS. And the managers solution was “ask her to wash all of her clothes, pillows, and blankets”. We were also urged to just give her a try and “guaranteed” that if things did not work out with her then she would be moved, only to later be told my other roommates and I would have to pay $250 to relocate her. Roommate mediation was also an absolute joke because after a CA had us all agree upon terms and sign a contract, we were told that they would not do anything if she were to break that contract.
Finally, like everyone else is saying if you value your privacy AT ALL, do NOT sign at UClub. Since January (7 months) we received over 10 emails for maintenance to come by and do “annual fire inspections”. Clearly they do not know the meaning of the word annual. During one of these inspections one of the maintenance men walked into my room and just randomly flushed the toilet??? These fake inspections are nothing but an excuse for maintenance to spy on you and attempt to fine you for minuscule things.
Moral of the story: do not live here unless you want a miserable year.
So far I'm loving this decent place. The rooms and the shared space are big, nice and clean. The maintenance team are very quick to respond. The only reason that I'm giving it 4 stars it's because I had to wait 19 days to move in because I did not want to pay an early moving in fees on top of the rent that I had already paid in the beginning of the month. It will be the same when I move out, where I'll have to move out early before the month ends. That's it not exciting. But everything else is great so far and I'm in love with this place.
I really enjoy living at U Club. The staff has been very helpful with whatever we need and the amenities are great. Trevor has been a big help to us with all of our needs. We have had some misunderstandings, but the office always work with us to correct them. We have also needed maintenance to come in for a couple different things, and they are always on time and get the job done quickly. I will say, because the houses are so close, it can get a little loud at night. You can sometimes hear your neighbors running up and down their stairs and if there is a house party near you, you will likely hear it. Other than that, everything is great. I love the living situation and the proximity to campus and Jackson Avenue.
This has been the best place I have lived at in Oxford! Great amenities, great staff and just all around a great place. I go the the gym all the time, people constantly ask me who's gym it is because it is just so good! It is the best to just lay out by the pool on those hot, sunny days too! The staff is also so awesome, Maggie helps me all the time if I ever have any problems and Shayden is always so friendly whenever I come into the office. I haven't had any problems whatsoever. This place is great.
