Been going for years & it's always been a great site. Basic, but very clean facilities. Fires allowed, no booking required, just rock up, find a pitch. £10 pn/pp. Site has been going for 80 years.. little gem
Amazing campsite! Really impressed with how clean, tidy and well stocked with loo roll the toilet and shower was. Really nice area to camp either under the trees or in the open fields overlooking the estuary. The owner frequently does his rounds making sure everything is okay and is really friendly too. I paid £10 for 1 night in my microcamper. Really simple pricing, dog was free, shower was free. Am definitely going to be staying here again. It's a real gem of a campsite.
Fantastic place to have a break away very clean toliets and showers. Owner turns up every couple hours in his van... been coming here for years. Beautiful walk down to the estuary...
Great spot for camping. The views were incredible. Toilet/showers were clean. We just pulled in and set up the tent where there was room. The owner came out later on. We had a chat and bought some firewood.
Absolutely LOVE this campsite. What a quiet, peacefull and lovely place. Stunning views, lovely host, Super dog friendly and just overall our favorite place to camp.
We have just spent a great time in our caravan on this fantastic site, starting on 6th September 2019 until the 15th. The stunning views of the Cader Idris range of mountains and the location being near to Barmouth, Dolgellau and the estuary make this an ideal spot for walking or driving out to sites such as Portmeirion. Gwilym the owner is very helpful with siting and the log run early evening, yes, open fires allowed, only downside to the site is there are only 2 showers, 1 for male and 1 for female, however, during our 9 night stay we did not have to queue on any occasion, and the showers were always a perfect temperature and always clean. We will definitely be returning next year.
What a place, back to the way life used to be quality fresh air, make your own fun have a chat and make freinds. Explore the estuary find the old workings ehere the miners searched for famous Welsh gold. As the sun sets make a camp fire and chill with a beer ( Dont forget the mozzy spray ). Come and see what your missing on them commercial sites this is where real camping is
It's our secret hideaway and We've been Camping here for over 40 years. Camp fires allowed. Very basic but clean, the site owner Gwilym's friendly and knowledgeable and is always on hand for any problems, but to be honest I've never seen any problems at all.
