Amazing Night in this new and upcoming restaurant! Inside BBQ feel, amazing drinks menu that taste insane. The one in the picture was a white chocolate espresso Martini STUNNING! Staff are up for a laugh. Food was amazing. Forgot picture of the main as I'd all ready started eating it ????
Nice experience, lovely place and food. Would recommend. Burger was great and on a Wednesday it's 2 burgers for £19.99
After a few stressful weeks, we were looking forward to Ty Tan. Lovely setting, staff amazing but so disappointed after being seated and waiting to place our order, to be told after a busy afternoon they only had 1 chicken and 3 burgers left!!
A group of 5 came in after we were seated, what they had who knows, they should have been told before being seated. (Or maybe food was kept for them as a bigger party, more money) Then white wine that we liked was not available, offered alternative bottle left on table cap still on, no offer to try and no ice bucket.
It’s gets better, we then get told only enough Pattie for 1.5 burger’s do you want chicken burger’s instead? I had steam coming out of my ears at this point, so we paid for our drinks and left with half a bottle of wine in our hands, like a pair of chavs, they didn’t charge for our olives or hummus, ( better tasting products in M&S to be honest)
We felt sorry for waiter, you could tell he was embarrassed, would have been nice for the owner to have apologised or even better called us to cancel when they knew stock was low/not available, that would have been the decent thing to do, surely you know how many people have reserved tables and how much food was available for that evenings bookings??
The only food option we had was a takeaway at 9pm on a Saturday, not what we wanted or the relaxing evening we needed. We ended up paying £58 on return taxis for a takeaway!!
Never have I come across this before, it wasn’t exactly opening week. I was absolutely fuming beyond belief!! Sorry no second chances, back to our regular restaurants.
Disappointed… And further disappointed by your response to Ceri Griffiths my fellow meal member. We were a pre-booked table for eight, of over two weeks waiting. I can appreciate there were two large parties already in when we arrived, so a bit of a wait on food wouldn’t have been unexpected. However, for the most popular 25% option of the mains menu to be non existent was disappointing. Especially as the remaining three options were a huge and expensive T-bone steak, chicken or a vegan burger (which I did enjoy, but would have liked meat at a ‘fire house’). As Ceri mentioned, pre-booking food would have avoided this. Basically, you are catering for ‘first come first served’, where earlier ‘walk-ins’ gobble all the food, and with it the expectation and enjoyment of those who have booked and patiently waited.
Another option, as stated by Craig McCarthy in a previous similar review, would be to have rung and let us know the situation before we arrived.
Also setting the record straight, nobody ‘stormed out’, and the only apology came from one of the teenagers who felt awkward and disappointed by the whole situation created by the restaurants lack of organisation.
Funny you mention McDonald’s, as we did discuss the option of going there for a guaranteed burger. And with just two pudding options we decided the restaurant would probably have run out of half those too.
I do truly wish you all the best in your future ventures, and hope that the suggestions might be taken on board.
Just returned from a lovely evening where we indulged in a three course meal at Ty Tan. Having read the reviews that preceeded our visit, we went with an open mind as we always would do, however, we had no reason to doubt our choice of venue. When visiting New areas we try to support independent restaurants where possible and so glad we did. Thankyou for a delightful evening whilst being away.
Smoke, fire and all things delicious are to be expected from this incredible restaurant! Tremendously tasty treats await anyone lucky enough to get a booking, yes you will have to book as this place is pretty special!
A haze of seared scents await to encompass you as you enter, tantalising your senses as the grill softly putts and spits gently to the rear of the dining area.
Happy staff are helpful staff and these guys are very helpful! From booking to leaving we were given first class treatment, truly tremendous. I would highly recommend the Chook burger or the piri piri chicken to anyone who likes bbq or spiced dishes as they were incredible. Would I go again??? In a heartbeat
Really enjoyed our meal. Service & food excellent! T- bone steak was perfectly cooked and so tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Well worth another visit for definite.
Great service, good atmosphere and fantastic food. The vegan burger was sumptuous. The mixture of flavours and textures in all the food we ordered was awesome. Would highly recommend.
