Best KPortal Reviews

The food was amazing, the salmon with the capers sauce was not only beautifully plated but also had amazing flavor with no salt or pepper needed! The martinis are a must but the lemon meringue pie martini definitely stole the show for me! Nikki was an amazing waitress and gave great suggestions. Will be coming back again!
Had a great dining experience. One of the Chef’s, Mr. Eric Williams, came out to greet us and help explain the options on the menu. We were very pleased and appreciative. Food and the drinks were amazing as well. Highly Recommend!
My first time visiting with recommendation of a friend. Drinks were great, food was even better. I throughly enjoyed how Chef Erick was very personable. He came around to our table answering questions, gave recommendations, and checked to make sure we were happy with our choices. The treatment accompanied by the food, gave off a fine dining experience in a quaint location. This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end and I would definitely recommend trying it out.
Omg my friend referred me to this restaurant it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was very nice laid-back with a live band the dim lighting, set the perfect mood for my date night
This is a spot located on the corner of one of the blocks in the VA Beach Town Center. We opted to sit at a table in the bar, which can get a bit crowded for the space and amount of seats.
I got the Colossal Fried Shrimp appetizer and Prohibition Burger. The fried shrimp was a good size and did taste fresh. Breading was alright not overly heavy nor oily.
Prohibition Burger was a disappointment. The patty itself was pretty good; however, the extras on there did not vibe:
- The cheese was a shredded cheese blend that barely covered the burger patty
-There was a maple flavored sauce that just oozed off the burger making the bun soggy and hard to pick up. If anything I thought it was maple syrup and I did not like that on a burger.
- There was also a red sauce that was served in a little condiment cup, giving the impression it is ketchup as it was the same consistency. It's not. I first dipped my fries in it and I thought something was wrong with the fries. I guess it was the BBQ Aioli, but I found it to be heavy on a vinegar tanginess with a bunch of pepper.
- And I don't even recall the Bourbon Bacon jam on the burger, which is listed in the description (unless that's what that maple syrup flavor was?!)
Also, something to keep in mind: They automatically add an 18% gratuity to every bill.
Bathroom: It is tight in there. It looks and feels like it used to be a single use stall, but then they decided to add metal stalls walls around the toilet. It is CRAMPED in that stall. Then I realized the door that looks like a closet door is actually another stall, so if you get a choice, use the door on the right when you enter.
The cost and the food does not match up, you're paying for Town Center.
The worst part is that they allowed a lady to bring her dog in there in a stroller, and it wasn't even a service dog.
I don't know what the law is now but I guess people can do what they want and you can't say anything to them. SMH.
If pay $169 for dinner I don't want to hear you're screaming kids and I don't want to look at your dog. Service dog 100% okay.
BTW: Screaming Kid Comment was a general statement, this was not the case at TWIST!
Added photo of full review, review does not show Service @5stars. Unlike other reviews Google does not do the main review based off of all the sub reviews. That's why I added the review photo. Service was great!
My husband and I ended up eating here, because it wasn't super crowded and the posted menu outside looked good. We'd never heard of this restaurant before and he originally wanted to eat at the Yard House but they had a 45 minute wait and we were hungry and didn't want to wait. We were greeted at Twist and asked if we'd like to sit outside, in the dining room downstairs or the lounge upstairs. We chose the downstairs dining room. The decor and atmosphere were appealing and all of the staff was friendly and professional. The food was served quickly. The waiter, Cooper, was excellent and adorable. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience! We would definitely return to dine again and we recommend trying Twist. My husband had the Prohibition Burger and I had the lobster Mac and cheese. It was a huge amount of food and we both took a to go box full home with us and there is enough for an entire second meal later. We parked for free in the Market Street parking garage. The restaurant is located to the left of the Westin and on the other end of the block from the Yard House.
We've been visiting Twisted for years and it never disappoints. The customer service is outstanding, and the food and drinks are fantastic. I highly recommend giving this place a try. They also have a newly renovated upstairs bar, perfect for enjoying food and drinks, or renting out for special occasions.
