Best KPortal Reviews

Excellent food, excellent service - 100% a five star restaurant. The mains and apps were amazing. We got the Beef kabob, flat bread, sunchocks, baked cheese, and all of their sauces. Each had such unique flavor, but all of them worked so well. The beef kabob was tender and moist even though it was ground, excellently cooked. We though the entree was gonna be the best part, but then the olive cake came. That was the best cake I have had, moist soft, not too sweet, just perfect. Also, side note they had some of the cleanest bathrooms I have see in any restaurant, that was nice.
Everything was perfection!! Went for all day happy hour on a Monday and that was a great entry point into this restaurant. The deals weren’t anything crazy, but made it easier to try more things. Every dish we got was delicious and fresh and the servers were so helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back!!
We were so excited to come here for date night. With the elevated pricing, we were expecting a bit more.
The good:
The hummus with the roasted mushrooms was really good. The falafels were really crispy and also fresh. The bread was warm and delicious and the couple of dipping sauces we tried were great!
The mediocre:
Next up was the smashed potatoes. I feel like it’s pretty hard to mess up, smashed potatoes, but they were not great. It was swimming in oil and lacked flavor.
While the service was great and it was full service. No need to bus your own table. However on the website it mentions there is a service charge and no tipping line but there was a tipping line on the receipt in addition to the service charge.
The bad:
The cabbage skewer dish was nearly inedible. It was so incredibly salty no matter how much of the included sauce you put on it that it was really hard to eat. For the price of the food I really expected consistency across the dishes.
So overall-
The good:
Falafels
Hummus with mushrooms
Bread
Sauces
The mediocre:
Smashed potatoes
Tipping line when they say no tipping
The bad:
Salty cabbage skewer
Had a great brunch with my wife. We got the Shakshouka, baked cheese, and a cardamom apple fritter. The food was all great. The offered crackers to replace the bread when I asked about gluten-free options was very appreciated. The server was very nice and did a good job checking in. It looks like the have some intentional acoustic design in the room, but it misses the mark at low frequencies because it was sometimes hard to hear each other speaking. It might have been the bass on the sound system being a little high.
All told it was a great experience and we're planning to come back.
Super lovely meal for my 29th birthday! I have a soy/almond/dairy allergy and they happily accommodated. The food was delish and I didn’t feel left out. I would definitely return! Oh and my partner said the falafel was the best he ever had.
Nice cute place for brunch. The food was good, reasonable price, great service!
We had fun eating brunch and chatting with friends here, they were very to let us stay for a long time like hours and didn’t come to disturb us.
We visited Tusk on a Friday evening and decided to do the deluxe dining option. I think it was a great value for 12 dishes! Some dishes were good, others were excellent. If you’re willing to be flexible, I definitely think it’s the route to go. Favorite dishes included the delicata squash, hummus and pita, baked feta, and pistachio cake. Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options which I always really appreciate!
One of Portland’s top restaurants. Great for a large group and sharing small plates family-style. The kafta was my favorite dish - a perfect juxtaposition of textures and spices. The Brussels sprouts were also somehow the star of the show. I’d also recommend a hummus plate or two if you’re here with a group. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any dishes here. I’d highly recommend this spot to any of my friends or family and I will definitely be back soon.
