Turnpikes is a hidden gem in Spring Hill. This place is by far my family's favorite place to get local food. My wife loves the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (not on the menu, but ask for it). My favorite is the banana fost pancakes. The French fries are the best I've ever had, I don't know how they do it. My kids love it too, the cheeseburger and fries are their favorite. The staff are so friendly and nice and Chef Melissa is so talented in the kitchen. They also sell sourdough and cinnamon buns too!!!!
For a mom and pop place that is a small place the food and service is quite amazing. We live about 2 miles away in Timber Pines and did not know this place existed. The portions were large. My salad had more than the standard iceberg lettuce and was quite tasty. I have a fairly good appetite but had to share my fries and still had fries left over.
The server and cook were very efficient and we had our food within 10 minutes or less. It even has a little atmosphere with around 100 license plates from the last 75 years or so and an old gas pump trying to emulate a turnpike stop. It even had a tiny lunch counter. The cook even checked in with us on her food. What a nice change of pace on our ordinary restaurant route.
I heard about Turnpikes through HappyCow so I went by to check it out. Chef Melissa is legendary! She came out and spoke with me about the vegan options that she could offer me. I really appreciate how kind and thorough she was. I decided to get a vegan burger with fries and it was amazing! customer service at Turnpike's is impeccable. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by! They have something for everyone there!
This has to be the most adorable diner in the area... Chill, fun, and quiet atmosphere... Fantastic and attentive service that's also very quick... Overall fantastic across the board. Very happy that I stopped in today... Their sandwich list was almost impossible to narrow down but I was very happy with my brunch burger and equally as good batter fries... Thank you ladies for a great experience
I LOVE the food! The chicken and biscuits are fantastic. The biscuits alone are worth ordering. The banana foster pancakes had me stealing my husband food. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich though is my favorite. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had.

Great little place up there in spring Hill. Great little bike ride one Sunday afternoon for brunch. Met my beautiful girl up there ???? what a time we had. Awesome steak and sandwiches. The Phillies are good. The pastas are good. The whole atmosphere inside out is really really awesome. Small but quaint get there early for a good seat. Could wait for a little bit please. Usually packed mid-afternoon
Amazing service. You definitely get your money’s worth here. The portion size and the quality of the food is phenomenal! Not to mention the super quick and friendly service. This was my second time coming here and both times were a very pleasant experience. Will definitely be a continuing customer :)
