Larry and John were fantastic operators and tour guides.
John was a great tour guide, showing us all around and letting us know of his experiences on the lake and of the history of the land. And he kept repositioning the boat so we would have a great photo background. We highly recommend this tour!
Forewarning: you may not be able to go out on the day that you have scheduled because of conditions of the lake. Larry called us the morning of our scheduled tour at 7:30 am to let us know that the lake was too wavy to go out, so we rescheduled to the next day thankfully. They were very accommodating to whatever open time slot we wanted to go on while we were still in the area.
My partner and I took the trip out to turnip rock with captain mike and wow! It was a blast. He was able to bring us right up to the rock and the surrounding landscape and tell us all about the area. I could not think of a better way to spend time in Port Austin!
A great evening, Larry our tour guide was fantastic. Loved the information he shared with us about the area, lighthouse and the area around Turnip rock. He gave us plenty of time around Turnip rock and was great at getting us close to the rock and seeing it in normal daylight and as the sun was setting.
This tour will be one of the best excursions I’ve had! Thanks to Captain Mike, he made it very entertaining and exciting trips. Because of the size of their compact boat, he actually got under the rock and inside a cave which other boats can’t do. This excursion should be a MUST when visiting Port Austin.
I also have to thank another Captain who is also Mike who helped me with my car trouble after my excursion was over. He was super nice and cooperative and when I tried tipping him, he refused to take it. Him helping us was just a kind gesture of truly helping us. I felt really warm and fuzzy after this encounter and can’t really wait to return to Port Austin just to have more experiences with the amazingly nice people that are here!
Lovely trip to Turnip Rock and the sights along the shoreline! We had a great time and excellent captain!
