Lady on the phone was very rude. I asked for an appointment and she goes u are taken off the list. I said I've been there before for check up and she was like no you have not. When i mentioned i have receipts. She suddenly found my visit on the system. And then she said i missed one of the appointments which i didn't because, i clearly rang that day as i was running late and they said their systems are down. we wont be able to check you either way. Cool so i went in for check up when they gave next appointment it was fine. But the lady on the phone was so rude and has the audacity to say i never turned up. Worst dentist experience ever. stay away from these scam dentists and find someone else. Ive seen the reviews anyway not alot of people are happy.
UPDATE: And you lot have recorded calls tell me when did i insult? Tell your boss or manager to listen to the calls. I was talking in a calm manner. The receptionist is a rude person. She tried lying to me first saying i never attended for a check up either? But when i told her i have proof then she suddenly found me. Also i missed one appointment after i had my check up. I was meant to see the hygienist. And One of the appointment you guys said dont come because your system was down, which is also recorded on your call. Dont say i insulted you to get away with the kind of business you guys do. Your receptionist staff are really rude. And i will find a way to speak to the boss of that place. Im not letting this go easy.
I attended the dentist on wednesday with a abscess. Was in a lot of pain. Was
prescribed wrong antibiotics metronidazole. Which made my abscess worse. Should of been prescribed Amoxicillin which are prescribed by most dentists for abscesses . Impossible to have a Conversation with dentist. His lack of people skills were virtually none existent. Believe his name was Paul. Was told dentists name by receptionist. As he didn't introduce himself. Was asked if I was allergic to anything in respect of antibiotics by his assistant who was nice. I said ignorant poeple. Eluding to our Paul. The assistant chuckled. Paul you should try to enjoy the day and communicate with your patients ???? . Ive been with this dentist 15 years. It feels a bit like a cattle market. Get them in . Get them out. make cash. Paul Bless your cotton socks.
P.S. Phoned surgery Monday asked for prescription for correct antibiotics Amoxicillin. To get them I had to go in and see Paul Mr Happy and be charged £28 . Very Sad way to conduct yourself in any profession.
Paul is a man of few words, however, he did an excellent deep filling on my broken tooth ( which I thought was beyond repair). I value technical competence above demeanor.
UPDATE: I was booked in to see a different dentist who refused to see me because I refused treatment from the other dentist. They said I could be seen by the lady dentist, but that didn't happen either! I can't even change dentists because there are no more available in Stockport and Manchester. I've bought temp filling from Boots. I'll do my own dental work now.
I'm conflicted about how many stars to give this place. The last time I came here, I would have given it 5 stars. Today, I would give the two girls on the reception desk 5 stars, but the dentist I had my checkup with was awful. He doesn't deserve one star.
Never in all my years have felt so anxious at a dentist visit.

I could barely understand him as it was, but on top of that, he was very rude. I didn't feel like he listened to me at all. He wasn't even gentle with the mirror. How on earth do you hurt someone's mouth with that little mirror?!
He blew cold air on my bad tooth to see exactly which one was in need of treatment, and that should have been enough. He then put something cold on that tooth, like cream or something that I couldn't get off! It was like holding something metal against my bare nerves.
I was in so much pain. I couldn't wait to get home and take painkillers.
The lovely girl on reception understood when I said I didn't want to see him again. She booked me straight back in with a different dentist. I can't fault her. She was very understanding.
Myself and my daughter had a check up with a dentist called Paul recently after trying to find an nhs dentist for a while, I’ve got to say he didn’t do a very good job and was rough with me , didn’t ask about meds or our health or even X-ray my daughters teeth , no gum check either . I’m glad I found someone else who is a good dentist , my daughter needs a filling !! I def don’t recommend.
I am very nervous about visiting the Dentist, but this practice with Mr Nicol helped to elevate that, he of course has now retired. I have been reallocated to Rucha - dentist, Ellie - nurse and Fahima - nurse, and Rucha and her team have been fantastic, indeed just had 3 teeth extracted by Rucha and I actually felt nothing, no problems whatsoever.
Rucha and team has a way of calming you down and making everything OK.

Great experience. I’ve changed to this practice due to Danny leaving my previous dentist.
After an appointment from hell, where I was ultimately left in agony over the weekend after visiting {my} dentist in fallowfeild, I contacted Danny to see where he was now based.
As soon a I arrived, he empathised with me, knowing my nerve was completely exposed. Within that time, he didn’t only fix the issue but took the pain away completely.
Can’t praise his efforts enough.
Have only been with turncroft for about 3 months with Rucha and her team they are so welcoming and put you at ease
