We booked one night in this lovely B&B in Dunvegan. Our host welcomed us very warm. She helped us every time with tips for visiting the isle. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is just amazing. Not only her cooked breakfast, also her home made jams and marmelades and e huge range of cereals make starting the day very easy. We can highly recommand this house and I‘m sure we will visit this B&B again.
We have recently returned from our second visit to Sky and Tullochard House. As on our first visit we were warmly greeted by Kate and Keith. We had the same room as before looking out onto the road which was very quite at night. The bed was very comfortable and each room is individual. The breakfast is very good with cereal, cooked breakfast and fruit, apples and bananas. Kate has maps to show things of interest if you need it. If we manage to get back to Sky we will definitely be returning for a third visit.
We chose this B&B due to proximity to Dunvegan castle and Neist Point Lighthouse after coming in from the south via ferry. There is parking for all guests both in front of the B&B and in a lot across the street. The decor is old-fashioned, but the rooms are cozy and functional. However, the mattress was extremely soft which gave us back pains. The hot water in the tub/shower was good. The traditional breakfast was satisfactory, as were the whisky jams that are available for sale. A fair price for a good location, but wish the rooms had some improvements.
Kate and Keith are very welcoming and caring and they will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. If wished, they can provide maps and advice on the various Island attractions, both popular and quiet. ||There is room for two visitor's cars by the house and others just across the road.|| ||Kate's breakfasts are great and her home-made preserves are excellent. It is also a nice touch to have the option of fresh milk for a 'cuppa' in the bedroom if wished.||||The Old School Restaurant is five minutes walk away. The food and service is excellent but it is advisable to book a table, for an evening meal, as they are very well patronised as you can imagine. ||My wife and I recommend Tullochard house as an excellent touring base for the Isle of Skye.
Best B&B in Scotland!
Kate’s banana cake is out of this world! Lovely friendly couple, chatted to Kate for ages. Very welcoming and a lovely guest house. Breakfast/brunch medley was very impressive. Lots of choices and everything is homemade, made our holiday all the more special. Everything was excellent, can’t praise them enough.
An amazing stay with Kate. The bed was comfy & the breakfast/lunch to go every morning was perfect. So grateful to have her delicious food while on our excursions!
Wonderful place to stay, the price is really great and homemade breakfast to order! B&Bs are the homes of these fine folks, you share the space and washrooms so if you want a hotel feel you won’t find satisfaction here. If you are looking for great conversation and quaint home style lodgings though you can’t pass this up. Kate has beautiful hand stitched designs everywhere making a custom place that feels warm and welcoming.
We stayed one night at Tullochard House and we loved it! The whole place feels very cosy and clean, the owner (Kate) was very nice and welcoming, and the homemade takeaway breakfast was delicious! We had a great stay and we definitely recommend it!
