This was a blast! I would give five stars if the staff were more helpful! One staff member sat in the shade and commented how hot it was while we were trying to take a selfie with our 3 kids. Once inside the facility is beautiful and well maintained. The nature center is very user friendly and the kids lived seeing the love lake creatures. We will be back dispute the poor service!
Very informative nature center. Animals, insects, snakes, lizards are represented well here and I finally saw how big a Brown Recluse spider is. Grand kids loved running up to Tucker’s Tower. So amazing that the CCC and WPA made so many of our parks buildings and bridges in the USA in the 40’s.
The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Super nice and friendly. Told us about some scuba places around the area. Awesome views from the tower. Gorgeous lake!
The view is amazing from the nature center. And it's even better from the tower. If you don't mind walking, this is a great place to visit.
Lots of history behind it-the tower itself is challenging to get to& was unable to climb to the top once inside.
However I believe the views from the top are phenomenal
Easy in and out parking, handicap spots are available in front of the nature center. There are places to hike and go down to the water off the parking lot.
