Simply the best car service and mechanics in the twin cities, Rak has always gave me the best price and gets the best deals on parts. I have gone to him for quite some time and is the only place I will go to. This one time he flushed my drive train fluid in my Subaru and only charged me $20 bucks, no labor. Then, the other time he looked at my seized steering wheel and did it for free!! Who even does that?!
Wonderful local shop! Raks will keep you updated, prices are quite reasonable, and the work is great. In my case we had a bearing issue, and they identified which one was the problem so we didn't have to replace both. Saved a bearing and money. My compliments to everyone at Tuan!
I have been taking both my vehicles here for three years now and I can't recommend this place enough. I've been to several shops before and all of them have been dishonest with me or tried to overcharge me because they thought I wouldn't know. Tuan takes a little while to get in most of the time because they're so amazing to work with but it's worth the wait. They are honest and more than reasonable with pricing and have really great customer service. I recommend them to anyone I speak to that's looking for a new repair shop because they're the only ones I trust.
I am a grad student at the U. My accord 09 was leaking oil. I called them and Raks diagnosed the problem and game me an estimate within my budget. The service, the professionalism is very well appreciated.

I rarely leave reviews & it's possible Raks for some reason was having a bad moment. There are many old thanks on the wall for a shop that has at least done well for people in the past. In all likelihood if one is the right person for this shop you will be treated well- in which case I am not writing this review for you. I am writing this only for the female/ non-English speaking/any other social standing in which auto repair shops in general sense they can take advantage of you. I called this shop on the advice of a friend and asked for a tire & oil change. Was asked to leave my car at 9 am in 1 wk & told them I was unable to do so due to having another appt mid day, but my tires were all mounted and I would bring in my own oil. Was told "no problem, we can schedule you at 10 am" (for 1 hr). Was asked if I had my own oil filter and said I did not. Told it would cost $20. I asked "20 for each or $20 total", and the response was "$20 total". Said thanks, hung up, wrote the appt in my calendar for 10 am. Showed up at 9:50 am. Raks was immediately upset for "being late". Explained I had called and had an appt for 10 am. Responded he is the only person that ever answers the phone & he always asks for the car to be left and would never make an appt. I explained I was being honest about what I was reporting and the conversation did happen. Was told the conversation could not have happened &, "do you want to see how many cars are on the racks?", &"you aren't giving me enough time". I stated did not want to be blamed & was happy to respect whatever boundaries a business has, but they need to be communicated in order for me to be able to do so. The response was to "stop whining". Stated "I'm not whining, I simply cannot be late to my next appointment". He said "what's the latest you can stay". I sat down to look at my calendar, reach out to my friend, and try to problem solve, & without giving me time to figure out the answer said "do you want me to do the work or not?". I answered I could try to stay 15 extra minutes, & tire changes of mounted tires are quick and at least that should be able to be done before I had to go. He then left and never did communicate with me if he planned to complete any work or not. At about 10:30 he placed the keys on the counter, and said "your tires don't have a pressure gauge in them". I responded "while the last place put on my winter tires without resetting the gauge, they actually do". He gave me a printed invoice for $25 which I paid in full. At this point, knowing I would not be returning in the future, $5 wasn't worth further argument even though it was dishonest - different from what I was told. I went to my car and looked in my trunk. Had brought in 6 qt of oil, and this is the first time my unused oil was not returned to me in 25+ yrs. Went back into the shop and said "the entire box of oil is not usually needed when I get my oil changed- do you know where they put the oil" - after which 1 qt of oil was returned to me. When I tried to drive away, the car was shaking and grinding so I had to return to the parking lot about 25 ft after leaving. Returned to the shop & stated "my tires were put on incorrectly." Raks asked for me to prove it to him while I drove and took him on the same short circle I had driven previously- "you can feel it [shaking] and hear it [grinding]". At this point, I did say "in the conversation you have forgotten about, you said would charge me $20 for the entire thing and you charged me $25. The wheels are not on correctly and the bolts [lug nuts] are mixed up and not mine." He claimed they were the bolts I brought in (mine were solid, most used were open). The wheels were bolted correctly the 2nd time ("they didn't screw all the bolts down"), I was given a $5 bill, and then able to drive away. Haven't checked to see if my oil was indeed changed but plan to soon. Either way I will not be back. I expect a business like this to blame the customer, yet review is as detailed and accurate as possible given space limits.

I’ve been spending thousands at tires plus. It took me a month to ask around and look up mechanics. I was referred to Tim Turbo. The lady at Tim Tubo told me for the problems I have I need to try Tuan. I came home and back on the internet I go looking up Tuan and looking at reviews. I tried my luck and after a year and a headache with my car I ran into my ANGEL. RAKS
is straight to the point, knows his stuff and just an all around FAIR GUY. He put in a new radiator and sent me before & after pictures. Within 24 hours my water pump went out. I had just spent most of my paycheck to get the radiator fixed. RAKS worked with me and I was back in traffic in less than 24 hours. Just Amazing. Professional and quick.

You enter the shop and you see all these customers testimonials. It's very hard to find an honest and knowledgeable car mechanic anywhere. Raks is a Rockstar and always suggests the best, keeping himself in the customer shoes. I believe thats the best quality you can look for in any service provider since they have all this experience and rather than you researching everything they save that time and make their suggestion. I would highly recommend them. I don't usually post reviews but only do for the very best or the worst.
