First time in the midtown location, and it's very spacious, with very nice decor. Came here for a work team lunch and was seated at an extra large table downstairs. I ordered the regular beef udon and two roll combo, and it was delicious and way more food than what I normally eat for lunch, so I had major food coma the resy of the work day lol the bowl was huge, and the spoon was more like a spatula, which gave an illusion there was alot more udon noodle soup but it's still a regular serving. Will def come again to try the other items on the menu, and i highly recommended you give this place a try!
Excellent Udon Noodles and cocktails. Had a lovely dinner with eight friends and we enjoyed udon noodles and sushi. I got the whiskey cocktail, which was excellent, and my date got the Nippon old-fashioned, which is a welcome variation of a classic.
We had the curry deluxe and enjoyed it tremendously. My only nitpick is that our food came out at different times, so we had to wait several minutes before everyone was served. Otherwise the service was efficient, solid atmosphere, and excellent food.
I’ve had dinner here twice. Both times the food has been great. The agedashi tofu is good as a starter. The addictive cucumber was just ok. My friend was very excited about the size of the udon bowl. Will be back.
Remember to check their monthly special menu. $3.5 per glass of Sapporo draft beer for the month of May. Worth it! Curry deluxe is also at $22. Udon is served in a gigantic bowl, I think, mainly for novelty. But otherwise, food is overall good.
Gotta say it’s one of the freshest udon noodles I ever had in New York. The service was amazing and the other stuff was good as well. Would come back !
The big bowl shocked me at first. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant. The portion was big and the udon was good. Will have another try for their sushi next time.
Great udon, but disappointing sushi. The udon was the highlight of my meal - fresh, springy and done well. The sushi, however, left a lot to be desired. Quality (both fish freshness and rice preparation) was slightly better than supermarket quality, which is a low bar.
Service was not very attentive and slow, despite there only being a few tables and it being before the lunch rush.
Very cool atmosphere in this restaurant. Noodles are perfect and oh my gosh, this broth guys…hands down some of the best noodle broth I have ever tasted. Come hungry or be prepared to share, but this was also the LARGEST bowl of noodles I have ever seen served. Even in all of the holiday chaos, our server was also excellent. 10/10 will return
