Best KPortal Reviews
My favorite is the poke bowl. It's a reasonable price and has a lot of fish. You can get a variety of sauces and toppings included in the price. There are a couple items you can pay extra for too.
But the don buri isn't great. The sauce isn't very tasty and it's either undercooked or kind of smooshy.
And the service was spotty. Civil, but not at all friendly.
I've been meaning to try this place out for a while now, however, that 3 Star rating wasn't too enticing. Since their competitors across the way aren't on Grubhub, I figured it was worth shot! That said, take note that my review will be based on food alone.
This was our line-up: Bento Box (Salmon Teri/Chicken Teri/Cali Maki), Salmon Teri with brown rice, Chicken Teri, and an order of their Shrimp Tempura Roll. The salmon and chicken were cooked perfectly, and they were both moist and flavorful in each of the individual orders. The Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Cali Maki were probably the best I've had in a while.
As the saying goes, "Don't knock it til you try it!" I'm givin' these folks a solid 4 Stars! I may not have tried all the fancy rolls that everyone has complained about, but for my pallet, everything we sampled was on point! I will dine in next time so that I can update my review on service and atmosphere
Not the best sushi...but this will do if you are lazy to drive out far or just wanna quick fix.
I mean this place is located in the corner of a strip mall next to an automotive store and by a planet fitness....bruh
The restaurant itself has a simple decor to it and can potentially be the place you wanna choose to sit on atmosphere alone but.... they got a giant game fish mounted on the wall. Lol. Owners ahpuld take that thing down and put some modern japanese art to at a cool vibe.
Sushi is ok. They got the menu that looks like all the other suchi menus you have seen out there but idk, quality of taste just is not as great as what you are looking for. ...trust me on this. But even with that said, my family has come to eat here a handfull if times-we all enjoy or eating in different ways.
Overall...try em out, see what you think and post a review.
We had Oyako Donburi
Chicken, onion, mushroom and egg. Garlic noodles and a California roll all good.
Went out for a birthday dinner and it was terrific. Not too loud so we had great conversation. Our server was fast and efficient and friendly. They have an excellent variety of dishes I clouding tempura and sashimi.
The food was delicious. It was also a very pretty serving. The whole experience was just terrific. Would definitely recommend. The only thing that was lacking was the descriptions on the menu. It has been a very long time since my last sushi dinner so I needed help but the server was great and very helpful.
Delicious food and great service. We weren't told they were closing early. We didn't feel rushed to finish up our meal before closing. Unlike at Yuri Sushi restaurant. It's happened there multiple times. The advertise closing time 9:30 it even states it on the door. You walk in and they won't serve you! I refuse to go back. Employees @ Truya have never done this before.
That's how you run and stay in business.
The fish here is fresh and taste good. The variety is adequate. The salmon bento box is good.
Serving of dish was horrible, three separate orders where on one plate. Waiting for order for 1 hour. Party of 6 was served each sapperatly with 15 min difference. Everybody who came after was served faster and already left. Waiter could not split bill... very disappointed. Left hungry.
