This place is awful. I decided to give them a try on door dash and I get there to pick up my food I’m greeted by a dirty aquarium and boxes. No one is located in the front I had to yell to get someone’s attention from way in the back. The person yells I’ll be there in a minute. Now I wouldn’t be upset but for the sheer fact I placed the order 30 minutes before arriving and I received a message from door dash stating my order was ready for pickup. This place will never get my time or money ever again. Go somewhere else.
Son and I wanted some chinese for dinner, but wanted to try a new place. We Googled chinese near me and we saw True Taste. Gave them a called asked it they delivered, which they do. I ordered, sweet n sour shrimp, appetizers for 2, egg rolls, General Taos chicken and upgraded 1 fried rice to a shrimp fried rice. Our normal place is always at least an 1hr to 1.25hrs, so I was very surprised when the doorbell rang in about 30mins. Opened everything up and was pleased with everything. 1st there sns shrimp is a little different, instead of a large shrimp, they were little individual ones, which I liked the sides. Was a little disappointed that there was no pineapple or cherry in the SNS sauce.. I thought the chicken wings were top notch in the appetizers. Nice and crispy with that little curry taste. The General Taos chicken was really tasty and had some nice broccoli on the side. Overall I was very happy with everything and my whole experience, maybe the guy answering the phone could have been a little chipper, but I might have a new Chinese place!
It’s a shame what happened to this place.
1. When you walk in there’s a large fish tank. Dead and dying fish, unkept condition.
2. Food has really gone down since Covid and they stopped having eat-in service.
This place was once my go-to.
I recommend heading down Rt to Mings. They’ve been solid for the past 30 years. And their fish tank is healthy.
Our family has ordered take out from here many times and it has been ok. However, last night after my son and spouse ate the chicken and broccoli they were up all night vomitting with severe cramping, nausea, and diarrhea. Both of them are still sick today. It’s has been a nightmare and my spouse is on the verge of going to the clinic if her symptoms don’t change or lessen. I would avoid this restaurant until they have deep cleaned!!
Food was tasty . About average portions. I appreciate that the general tso was a bit spicy. The wonton soup it's self had good flavor but the dumpling did not,at all. I'd eat there again .
Ordered chow mein literally under their rice and noodle section of their menu. Absolutely no noodles in a clear sauce with gelatinous chicken. DISGUSTED. Wasted time and money.
We have been eating here for years. Pre-Covid, the food was tasty and the atmosphere of the restaurant jovial. It slowly crept downhill. Some parts…like dining in…did not survive Covid. The food as if the last year or so has been subpar. We kept giving them “second” chances since they did at one point have the best Chinese in our area. Tonight, we ordered for the last time. While the orange chicken was quite tasty, the white rice was old. The wonton soup was cold and the wontons tasted not quite right. The steamed dumplings were also cold and rubbery like they were reheated. The house special fried rice was flavorless and greasy. I will be taking my business elsewhere for Chinese from now on. It’s always sad when a good place fades away.
The place used to have really flavorful and good food. It has changed, the interior is cluttered, dirty and dingy. But the food.. over the last few years it has not been good. Tonight it was the worst food. It had jelly around the chicken. I couldn't eat it! No more True Taste. I shouldn't have ordered.
