This place deserves some love! Amazing service. They were attentive, the music was fun. We had the supreme pizza and it was great. We also had the luck to arrive at happy hour and they gifted us chicken wings and two beers ????for being here the first time. Thank you, we’ll be back!

Date night in San Jose. Bought tickets for Jo Koy at the Shark Tank(SAP Center). Decided to grab some grub before the show. Parked (for free on the street) maybe ten blocks from the show. Found this hidden gem about midway to the Tank. A sign outside stated that two tacos and a pint were $20 (on Thursdays, but more in that later.) What’s better than beer and tacos?!!!

So we went inside and sat ourselves. The tables have a QR code where you can order and pay, which is very convenient when on a tight timeframe. Despite starting our order on the app, the beertender walked over, greeted us warmly, and offered us physical menus as well. We mentioned the sign outside and he kindly pointed out that we had missed that the deal was only on Thursdays. Despite our ignorance, he was very kind, accommodating, and helpful.

We received our food and drinks promptly and we were blown away! Come to find out, it was the main chef’s day off and their backup was running the kitchen that evening. We can’t speak for the full time cook, but the backup deserves full time as well as a raise because these were quite possibly the BEST tacos we’ve ever had. Despite being out of chicken, we weren’t disappointed whatsoever. We ordered asada and pastor and we’re completely blown away.

Our entire experience was beyond positive and we will be making True Brew a date night tradition when enjoying events at The Shark Tank.

Our only disappointment was that they weren’t open after our event for a second round of tacos and beer, but that’s hardly a complaint and far more a testament to their commitment to awesomeness.

Food is just okay. It doesn’t come as advertised, my burger came without tomato (I love tomato) the BBQ pizza came with pineapple on it and had tomato sauce (is this where my tomato went). I really don’t like places that don’t have servers come and take your order…I find more mistakes at places that do online ordering when eating in house. But my two biggest gripes are they are advertised as a place to drink beer where people have flights of various brews and no such ordering is possible online/at the table. I did inquire about the flights and was told that a pencil and paper would be brought to me but none ever arrived. I don’t think it’s the servers fault either he was alone doing an entire room of almost 75 people by himself. I won’t be returning.

True Brew is a good little place to catch a game with friends and beers while getting a bite. There were 20 beers on tap, had the “Citra is my Wife” Hazy IPA from Narrative and was excellent. Food menu is a bit short but bery tasty, had the chicken sandwich and it was very juicy and some trufle fries ????????. Overall great place and service with a lot of screens to catch sports.

P.S. shoutout to the hot sauce “Hoppin Hot Sauce”, local from San Leandro, excellent addition to the chicken sandwich

Came for Truesday Storytelling. It's their second time running it. It's great fun. The food is amazing too. Love the Siberian dumplings and Squares. We got the chicken breast.

This place was Amazing. From right when we walked in till the time we left the staff was very attentive and courteous. The beer was great and the selection was huge. I got the carnitas fries and i highly recommend those. Definitely gonna be coming back here
