Best KPortal Reviews

This is an absolute hole in the wall restaurant, however it has fantastic food! Don't pass this place up! The chicken has fantastic flavor and the egg drop soup is amazing. Unfortunately the prices are insane. I spent almost $50 for 3 meals.
Iv been coming here for well over 5 years, and Iv have always enjoyed their twist on the Hawaiian cuisine. Especially because Grand Junction lacks diversity in this area. I would have have them 5 stars but I feel their customer service just needs a little more help. They are not rude, but you don’t get the welcome feeling either??? On the flip side a couple of my favorite dishes would have to include, pho, Hawaiian barbecue combination, spam musubi, local Mocho, and the boba tea!!!
Absolutely fantastic food and polite, friendly service. Ambiance was interesting. The best Asian authentic in the town.
I didn't like the food, they add a lot of sugar to the smoothie
, I'm sorry, but I will never back again. we paid $54.00 for our foodwe left the food on the table, and we didn't eat it.
I was craving island food. This food didn't satisfy my island craving, but it was okay. The Boba was delicious.
We ordered the loco moco, chicken teriyaki bowl, pineapple coconut smoothie and their hot and sour and egg drop soup. It was nothing spectacular. The loco moco was bland and soups were cold. We didn’t eat the soup in fear of food poisoning. Since we didn’t know how long they had been sitting out not at proper holding temperatures. The most edible thing we ordered was the chicken teriyaki. The marinated dark meat chicken was decently sauced. It would have been nice if they served it with more veggies besides just steamed cabbage. Don’t expect much from the counter service person either. When I asked her if the teriyaki chicken was dark meat or white meat chicken she looked at me and condescendingly responded….”it’s chicken?” Like I was the dummy for asking. Which honestly I might have had a dumb moment thinking she knew the difference. Either way… not worth the detour into town from I-70. We were so hopeful because of the good reviews. Lesson learned. Don’t trust reviews in Junction.
I’m not a Hawaiian local but I did live in Oahu for a bit, and ate Hawaiian food all the time. Their chicken katsu and BBQ short ribs were legit! This place is impressive, even the mac salad (which i feel is almost mostly a miss) was flavorful. Wish we lived closer coz I would have loved to try their kalua pork. Surely next time we’re in the area.
They have an interesting menu with several choices that looked fun.
The woman at the counter was patient and helpful.
The portions seemed small and the flavor was missing on some things. For example, the beef short ribs seem like a prominent menu item, but the serving was tiny, the ribs were rubbery and chewy, and lacked flavor.
The foil wrapped chicken was very good, but again small portions for what you pay.
The barbecue chicken was also very good, but small portion.
