Came to tropical smoothies before work after yoga… not in a rush I had some time but the time spent became unnecessary.
3 young men followed me in 3/16/24 they were there to support a young woman at her job. I ordered a Turkey bacon ranch w/ smoothie and banana. After I ordered the gentlemen took time to order I went to wash my hands. She spoke for a while with the gentlemen.
I asked someone who was training (who made my smoothie) if she - who was still talking - would be making the sandwich. He confirmed. (He also greeted me after waiting for some time and told me she would be the one who took the order)
She began to prep what I knew was a chicken bacon ranch. After her conversation ended. And after going to the back of the kitchen to speak to the later confirmed shift lead. I called across the line asking if that sandwich was mine. She said yes. I told her I ordered a turkey bacon ranch. She froze. The shift lead fixed my sandwich.
I drank the entirety of my smoothie waiting for my sandwich. The smoothies of both gentlemen were made and given the them before I received my sandwich.
The gentlemen left tropical smoothie and had the sandwich she messed up on, in the parking lot. She wasted my time before work and costs the company money to flirt.
Great smoothie! I always get the Bahamas drink, but this location has a lady with piercings on her face, and she had the audacity to tap on the glass as if I were dumb or something. They had a note saying they were understaffed, and I get it, but there's no need to jump to conclusions as if I hadn't followed instructions. Pick better people and maybe pay them more so that you can have better customer service. For sure, this will be my last option from now on.
I've ordered this smoothie for 4 years now and today has to be the worst experience. I purchased this order on the app, went in and decided to order another pb cup with xtra pb. They were both watered down. Had 0 flavor. Just ice and water. I specifically stated light ice and water. I went back in and they remade one and its still inedible. The after taste, reminds me of black bananas that are old. I spent $15 today and had to throw them out. This is unacceptable.
The customer service is not it. I did not even step foot inside the establishment and I still had been greeted rudely by a worker. The worker was outside the building putting a sign that says “online orders only” yet I would get some rude attitude from a worker saying what the sign had said super rudely and did not even held the door open for me to at least come inside to do an online order inside. My wife and I was very shocked the way we have been treated and hope this can be situated asap.
Stopped here for a smoothie and they are the absolute best. Will definitely stop here again. You guys rock! Thank you!
The manager is really rude and does not know how to manage anything. An is very disrespectful I seen him yelling at a poor homeless person asking for water and they said they would pay for it. and from the looks of it he is very disrespectful I asked for a water bottle after I ordered my food because I forgot and he gave me a really bad attitude I wish whoever owns this establishment fires this manager right now and until then I will not be going to tropical cafe in winter park ever again I wish this manager gets revoked I am a restaurant gm and it’s sad to see people like him running a restaurant
I love Tropical Smoothie but the employees need to make sure that the delivery drivers have everything from our orders. For the second time the driver forgot my food! It clearly states on the order that I ordered a smoothie and a food item. I love the smoothies and food from here but I am going to start ordering from the location in Altamonte instead. I have never had this issue there. If you make sure the driver has all of the food items then you will not have angry customers calling! You are losing money doing this! The guy did not offer to go back to get it, he just shrugged and said sorry. Do better!
Hold delivery drivers accountable!!!!!
I love Tropical Smoothie but the employees today really need better training in customer care. We stood at the register for 5 minutes without anyone saying Hello, we’ll be right with you…nothing. We could see they were busy but greeting your customers and apologizing for the delay should be automatic, especially when you are busy. One employee making the smoothies made eye contact with me twice and didn’t say one word. We knew they knew we were standing there, just felt like they didn’t care. We left without ordering, most likely won’t be back to this location.
