This Tropical Smoothie is a pretty good one compared to the others that I’ve been to but something bad had happened me recently. I was drinking my smoothie and I felt something that felt like seeds at first. Then it started getting sharper so I take a piece out of my mouth and I see sharp plastic shards in my smoothie. Now I’m not sure if they left something in their blender but it’s the fact that there was a lot of plastic in my smoothie. I decided to whisk out most of the plastic so I could at least enjoy the smoothie which you can see in the photo I provided. This place is good but this experience wasn’t so nice.
Sad to write this as I work in the medical office up the road and this was my favs but after tonight I will be discouraging anyone to visit this location further. I stopped tonight I was the only one there I always expect at least a 20 minute wait the staff is always slow…but I ordered a smoothie the girl ordering cut me off and didn’t add it to my ticket. Ordered a chicken quesadilla, the wrong stuff was inside and they threw it upside down I’m the box so the entire cheese and tortilla were glued by the time I arrived to work. Then the wrap…one of my faves. The eggs were huge bricks that were ice cold the cheese wasn’t melted and no meat??? It was completely inedible. If I’m going to pay almost $13 and wait 20 minutes for this little bit of food I expect a little more. Called the store no offer of apology just told they would remake. I was already back from lunch and didn’t have time to wait an additional 20 minutes so I went 12 hours with no food. I’m glad the employees felt really bad…not.
Arrived at 8:04pm on Saturday December 30th, 2023 to a front locked door. Through the glass doors I see 2 employees. I proceed to the drive-thru and place my order. However, when I placed an order for a Sante Fe Flatbread I was told that it would take too long to make because there were only 2 employees.
Ordered a hummus wrap. As I was eating it I chewed on something hard. Had no idea what it was. Spit it out and discovered a white piece of plastic in it. What the heck.
10 minutes before close they told me there where closed as soon as I opened the door. I can’t imagine turning away customers because I want to leave early.
They are fast. I prefer to use the app. I know technology has a way of disconnecting humans but in this case I think the app allows for such a busy store more time and not be so rushed. Each time I use the app, when I walk in my smoothie and food are done and perfect.
I showed up to the store at 8:34 (per my text messages) I was told the inside was closed and to get in drive thru line. I thought cool no problem only 3 cars there. Sat there and nobody moved until 8:55 when a girl came out and said I wouldn’t be served because the other people in front of me had been there for a long time and there was only 2 people working. First google review ever at 29 years old.. Sorry service, I clearly saw at least 3 people working and I went to smoothie king where there was one other in line and had my smoothie before 9. Absolutely sorry workers
I am at Tropical Smoothie now, after sitting in the long line, I skipped the order window (under the weather), so once I realized my mistake, I started tapping my horn trying to get her attention. She ignored me. After waiting for 10 min she finally come to the window, I asked her did she hear my horn she said yes, but we are busy. She took my order, then said can I pull up be the stop sign to pick up my smoothie. This is where I am picking up my smoothie. The lady does not care, no compassion nothing. Not coming back
