Our server was so sweet and accommodating. Food was great. Mr. Crabs omelette and the club sandwich. Both on delicious toasted sourdough. The bacon on the club was cut so thick and crispy, it was great.
I had an amazing sandwich with thick cut bacon, fried green tomato, basil mayo, and a fried egg. It was absolutely delicious! It hit all the notes, crunchy, creamy, acidic, and savory. And the fries were light and crispy.. Will be back!
Great food at this place! We had the French toast with blueberries and the biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs and the hubcap pancakes. All delicious and good value for money. When next in the US will visit for sure!
Definitely check this place out. I pass it all the time and it always seems busy, but now I know why. The waiter talked me into the country fried steak, and what a recommendation it was. Solid food, solid service, definitely will be back for another meal.
I've been looking for a good diner in St. Pete and finally found one.
We got a few dishes to split:
- Trip's Triple Club: 5/5, Huge portion + come with the good fries that are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
- Biscuits & Gravy: 5/5, I try biscuits & gravy whenever I see it on the menu and most I take a bite and don't eat. This one was so good and reminded me of home.
- Fried chicken & waffles: 4/5, Waffle was cooked well (not too crispy/not too soggy). The chicken had a good crisp to it but the batter needed more seasoning.
Total we spent $35 WITH tax/tip. A steal.
There is so much on the menu to try, I will definitely be back!
Been here many times over the past few years. The food is good and the place is always busy. Great place for family meals or a good place for friends to meet up. Reasonable prices on all of menu.
I feel like im taken back in time when I come here. Diner atmosphere with the diner food to match. THEIR PANCKAES ARE HUGE. it's 7$ for one and you definitely don't need two or you'll be so full. The fried tomatoes are fire too. Everytime I've been here never disappoints
Tripp's has been a staple for the last month we've been here. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and they work hard, and the atmosphere is laid-back and family-friendly. I particularly like their Benedicts, home fries, bacon and their fried green tomato sandwiches!
Went as a last-minute Mother's Day brunch treat to myself when there was an hour wait at most places, and was pleased to be seated immediately at the bar, served well, and had a pleasant conversation with my neighbor. Extra kudos to the workers there today. They were extremely busy and still handled everything well. Thank you!
