Best KPortal Reviews
I am new to Trinidadian food, but what I had was excellent. I had chicken stew in roti and an order of doubles. I also got sorrels. Everything was just great. The lady that ran the shop was very nice. I’m thinking about going back today if I have the time. The vegetables that were part of the stew, potatoes, and cabbage were wonderful. I don’t know if I could get that by itself, the next time I go back I’m gonna ask, it was really good.
The lady was Uber Friendly, I spent $65 but I didn’t care for the portion sizes. The food was good, you just didn’t get a lot for your money. I only have one picture of the food from the order, sorry. I got Oxtails and it was 3 of the smallest pieces. I liked the food and service, I was just a little upset about the size and price!
UPDATE!! I couldn't find a place to respond, so i'm adding my response to my original post. I only visited your store one time because I live in upper Delaware. I did not return, so you spoke with someone that was not me!
This food is so damn good! They just made a loyal customer for life! I cannot eat salty food and I didn’t even have to tell them to cut back. They put so much meat on the tray! I highly recommend the curry chicken!
I ordered my food and came back to get it 15 minutes later and it was hot and ready to eat! One of the ladies gave me a pepper blend and it took the taste to a whole another level! No doubt it’s a in house family recipe! Well done!
I cannot wait to go back and try their curry goat!
Down to earth spot that feels like someone's home and feels like being catered too. The food is always delicious, fresh, and it is the only place outside of MD to PA that has true Trini food.
Get the doubles quick before they sell out!
I come here for curry goat which has always been GREAT. I usually just get the food and leave. Today I wanted to try/experiment with a drink. PLEASE, GO GET THEIR SEA MOSS OR PEANUT BUTTER DRINKS!
You DON'T have to even like Trini food but I guarantee you will LOVE this sea moss drink! I bought one and in the 2 minutes she was getting my food ready to go I fell in love, finished it, and asked for another one to-go. I will be in there to get this drink even if I'm not getting the food that day! I am so happy I tried it, but my bank account will not be because I will be there all the time for this drink! Here is the one I finished in 2 minutes and the one I bought to-go. It is absolutely delicious and I spent another two minutes complimenting it! It's sweet but subtle, rich, and doesn't even taste like most sea moss drinks. GO GET TWELVE. RUN, DONT WALK!
Kids would LOVE them too!
Trini Quizeen brings the Caribbean to Dover and allows you to experience the delicious food and culture of Trinidad.
The food is ALWAYS so good and the service is awesome!
A large platter is enough to share for two, but I prefer to have my own ???? If we're in the area and want to grab a bite, we always stop by Trini Quizeen.
Small quaint place very clean the owner came out and greeted us us. I'm from the New York-New Jersey area there are plenty of Caribbean restaurants there I have eaten in my share of them. My wife had curry chicken, I had the curry goat. Very flavorful and tender. The sides were delicious also. In short if you're looking for a nice Caribbean restaurant with good food a warm friendly staff. Then maybe you should try this place.
I’m all for Carribbean. But looking for that oxtail taste i didn’t find it unfortunately. I love the gravy oxtails have and the tenderness. These were overcooked. Too hard. Lacking in flavor. No gravy. The rice was ok. Too wet. But I definitely had better. Wife loved the plantains. I don’t eat plantains. Cabbage was good. Wanted to try the roti they was sold out. I dont do spicy. Do the pepper sauce I did not try my wife loved it. The sugar sticks were like buttered pretzels. More like the layer you make at the bottom of pretzel salad. Too immature for my teeth. Lol. Overall planning to go retry and hoping for a better outcome.
