I haven’t been to this restaurant before it was my first time. I ordered ground beef nachos. The service was great! No complaints! The food was mediocre to say the least. The chips tasted like they came from a bag. I know freshly fried chips and these were not them! I am not into chips from the bag if I would’ve known this I would’ve ordered something else. Of course, nachos are made with chips so it was all downhill from there. The salsa was flavorless. It just tasted like watered down tomato something. It had no spice at all and no bite. I only ate 2 chips and a little salsa. It very disappointing. I asked for spicy salsa and the server brought it to me in a squeeze bottle and it was not much better. (see photos attached). The only thing spicy was the jalapeños. The entree had to much cheese on it. It was overloaded by thick cheese. I only ate a small amount of the dish and I left the rest on the table. The restaurant was very busy. I went around noon yesterday. If I go back I will order something different and stay away from the nachos and the chips. I saw other people’s food and the wet burritos ???? looked delicious. They were big and about the price as the nachos.
I had their Tostadas de Ceviche-it was Excellent! So fresh and well blended flavors. Ended up taking home leftovers (minus the tostadas!). It is definitely something I will go back for often!
This place is quickly becoming my favorite place for Mexican food. I would recommend everyone try this place at least once, I'll bet you'll come back a second time. It's a simple place with a relaxing atmosphere. But that's why I like it. They have a good sized menu and the service has always been great each time I have gone. I think they are reasonable priced for the portion size, which is a lot! You will get full eating here! I've had the Fajita Burrito, the pork carnitas plate and the chicken taquitos so far. One of these times I'm going to try the nachos. They look amazing based on the pictures from other people's reviews. I'll definitely be going back!
Update 7/27/23: Went back recently and tried the nachos! They are really good as well! I do wish they used liquid cheese, but I still enjoyed them. I took some photos to share. Also, the Whipped Orange drink they offer is AMAZING! Love this place!
Been going here since they opened. Regularly. I won't go back. It's a hole in the wall who's prices have gone way up and the service has gone down. They're about as friendly as rattle snakes. They trear their chips and salsa like they're gold. They aren't. The food has always been fair. Compared to other similar restaurants in the area, these guys are on the bottom. Almost any other choice is better.
Amazing street tacos. The best Polo Ala Creme I have ever eaten. Wish they had a extra hot salsa. Over good food for Mexican fast food.
Ladies that work there are very nice. The atmosphere was great, we sat in a booth and it was clean and inviting. We had the Double Cheeseburgers and Fries and it's the best burger in town!
We've gone here for a long time. It used to be really good. Not so much these days. The inside is old and in need of some TLC. The staff isn't super friendly. They recently jacked their prices way up due to a "change in their system" whatever that means. No matter how many you have at your table, one thing of measly chips and salsa is all you get unless you ask for more and be prepared for the stink eye. With so many other good options we won't be going back. Cielito Lindo and Las Penitas are much better.
This place has gone down hill over the years. The interior is in need of some updates. The service leaves something to be desired. Prices have gone up and the quality is just average. There are much better options for less than you'll spend here.
