Amazing Staffordshire bakery! Extremely decadent pastries and cakes. High quality and bold innovations. LOVED the sausage roll. You will queue but there is a reason for that. Please open one in Newcastle under Lyme too!
The best croissants I've had outside of France, period.
Generally very delicious baked goods but what truly makes this place special are the viennoiserie. Be it plain, be it almond (with amazing frangipane), be it the pain au chocolat or their cruffins. You won't find better. It's a pleasure to go there any time and every time.
On top of it, they make delicious deli sandwiches using those croissants and the hams, lettuces and sauces they use are superb quality and enhance the flavor of the croissants.
I can't recommend this place more. A definite must visit.

Unfortunately I have to take a star off. Since I wrote this review, I believe they lost their "je ne sais quoi".
The almond croissant somehow tastes less "almondy" and tastes much heavier and sweeter. The last "pain au chocolat" they forgot to add the chocolate... A lot of their most recent creations feel very gimmicky, based on candy bars, rather than focusing on what they are really good at - making outstanding viennoiserie.
On top of that, unfortunately no matter how much they try, the wait for their sandwiches is just not acceptable - a single sandwich takes 20 minutes.
Overall, their viennoiserie is still outstanding, delicious, buttery and flaky. But I do believe they lost their spirit and are now "just" a very good artisan bakery. ????
Lemon Meringue Danish was delicious. Also had Tuna sandwich on multigrain sourdough and it was very very nice, the portions are incredibly big which reflects in the price which I think is reasonable. It’s not like you have to eat it in on go.
Great bakery - with really helpful, friendly staff. The sandwiches are really tasty - especially the New York Deli, and the portions are massive! Always a great selection of different cakes and bakes. Have been going here for a while now and it has always been amazing, and always well worth the wait.
I must have eaten from Trentham Bakehouse 40+ times over the past year, and the food has never once fallen short of their incredibly high standards. Last weekend, Curtis went above and beyond with an incredible assortment of treats including; a mountain of delightful cinnamon buns, a platter of unbelievable crumbly, choc-filled cookies and the sweetest, softest, most vibrant lemon meringue I've tasted in my life.
The chefs at Trentham Bakehouse are so incredibly talented and dedicated, and their work ethic definitely flows through to the front of house staff who are always so warm and friendly.
I cannot rate this place highly enough, they deserve all the success they are getting and so much more. This establishment is an absolute must visit wherever you are, and will always be worth travelling for.
Curtis and the team are magicians. Started going her in March 20 in the first lockdown and it's been a must nearly every week since then. They are creative with their bakes and they always have something new to enjoy. From epic sandwiches made to order to their patisserie, its all excellent!
What can I say, the bakes are amazing and you are certainly spoilt for choice. My personal favourite is the Almond Croissant, but everything we've had has been amazing. The staff are so lovely too. Well worth a trip
Trentham bakehouse has the best cakes around ????. Ive never been disappointed in my visits (definitely tough for my waistline living in the same street) we treated ourself to an afternoon tea from them for our anniversary recently which was amazing! Great value for money, it took us 2 days to eat everything! Highly recommend a visit.
