Bad experience. Door closed at 8pm in my husbands face after being told that there was no fish left. Rude individual. No customer facing skills. They usually close at 9pm. They didn’t pick their telephone up or leave a message sharing the lack of food situation available to the public. Never again. Will be going elsewhere.
The worst fish and chips we have ever tasted. The fish was in a preformed triangle shape and was very soggy with absolutely no flavour to it. The chips were the same. After a few mouthfuls I wasn't able to eat any more, we ended up binning the lot. Really disappointing and a complete waste of money.
Late home last night couldn't be bothered to cook. Rang up from Findon for Plaice and Cod suppers got there at estimated time and they were ready. The fish was absolutely fresh, freshly cooked and delicious. I never post comments but had to as it was so good.
Used once over the New Year period when Storrington Fish Co closed. Ordered and paid in advance for specific collection time. Haddock, which most chippies cook to order, was overcooked and rubbery in undercooked and soggy batter - now how do you achieve that? Chips flabby and small size portion. Not an experience that I will repeat.
Had our first take away from here tonight. Lovely people, good service however the food was underwhelming. The fish was soggy and undercooked, and the batter was spongy and full of oil. Not a good experience I’m afraid we won’t be going back.
Open on Sundays, when a lot of others in the area are not. Great fish and chips, been to Trawlers many times and not a duff meal yet.
They only take cash and in my experience I have had to wait for the fish to be cooked but six to seven minutes, knowing it is freshly cooked is a boon. Let's face it, on lot's of occasions I have had to wait well over ten minutes for a meal in Macdonalds Shoreham and on two occasions I had pre-ordered on the MacD app, over five minutes before arrival.
I would have given this 0 stars if I could....without a doubt the worst fish and chips I have ever had... chips chewy and hard. Definitely reheated and fish was watery with soggy batter! I will never use this shop again!
