Our transmission went out in Savannah during a long road trip this summer, and Savannah Transmission Specialists were the only ones open on a Saturday so I took the car in to see what they could diagnose. Though he was busy working on another car, Guy came out to test drive the car with me and diagnose the problem, explaining what he was seeing and hearing under the hood the whole time, making sure that I understood the issues.
When we got back to the shop, he confirmed again that the problem and noise was with the transmission, and that I would need a new one. He spent the next 15 minutes on the phone with the transmission supplier, and ended up with getting a lightly used transmission with a warranty for what I felt was a fair price. Before I left the shop, on a Saturday, I knew that the car would be fixed and ready to go early the next week.
After the transmission arrived, Guy worked tirelessly to get the car fixed and road ready for us. He stayed working until 9pm on the day that we absolutely needed to leave town, to continue the road trip, making sure we were on our way before the end of the day.
Over the next two months, we drove over 8,000 miles, putting the transmission to the test through the Appalachian Mountains, city driving in NYC and Chicago, Rocky Mountains, and endless desert landscape in Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. We areback home with the car now, and it's still performing very well. We owe a sucessful summer to Guy and Savannah Transmission Specialists! Thank you!
Long story short I dropped my gear box off broken , 3 months and 500 bucks later I get a broken gear box back . Which I come to find out had BROKEN PARTS INSTALLED. They broke a collar on the shaft and instead of calling me or replacing it they half ass welded it and replaced it , which I only found out about after the first test drive . Things were good in the beginning but they need better management and someone who has a spine to say we screwed up . I've since had another shop get it back to functional but would highly recommend you only take American domestic stuff to this shop unless you want to deal with my experience.
I was diving south for the winter had major transmission problems in the middle of the night. Stopped and called all the transmission shops in the area after hours and left messages. the next morning Albert called me 30mins before they opened and rebuilt my rear diferencial THAT DAY! TJ and Albert were so good to me and the price was excellent. I've never received service like this before. If you're looking for the best service at the best price, it's a no brainer who to choose, THESE GUYS!
I was broke down on the side of the road. I called them, they sent a tow truck which wasn't a long wait. All the employees are VERY nice. My car was fixed in no time, they are excellent at what they do. I would definitely sugest that for you to call them if you ever need to get your transmisson repaired. Best thing there prices isnt sky high. 5* transmisson shop in savannah.
I had a small engine problem at my car, I just found them in the web and check them by phone. They invited me to see the car, because I could not explain the problem well so I bring the car next to the salon and they definitely repair for 2 hours. Very fast and very reliable according to me, because in the past i used other repair services and no one did so good and fast job.
While I don't generally condone reviews that are off subject I couldn't help myself here. The owner (I assume) while in his "Savannah Transmission Specialists" truck just cut me off in traffic then proceeded to trow trash out of his window while driving. Maybe when choosing a transmission shop you should go somewhere where the owner doesn't treat the beauty of Savannah with such crass disregard. If you look at the reviews here it's pretty obvious that the shop has changed hands recently, and it's not for the better.
I own a fleet of vehicles that are the lifeblood of our business. We service two states and require constant maintenance and repairs on all of out trucks. The transmission went out on the that we rely on the most, so I took it to Albert Charles Williams, the owner of Mr.Transmission to get it repaired. It took $1,500 and about a week to get the truck running again, but it broke down one week later. The work was supposed to be guaranteed, so I took it back to him to get it repaired. I picked it up 6 weeks later and it broke down after driving one block away from their shop. They had it for another two weeks, but could not diagnose the problem. I finally had enough of Albert and his lies, so I wound up sending it to another shop. The moral of this story is DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF ALLOWING ALBERT OR ANYONE AT HIS SHOP TO TOUCH YOU CAR. HE IS A LIER, A THIEF, AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR STEALING PEOPLES MONEY.
Worst experience ever. My car sat there for over 2 months after I gave money for parts, and still they didnt perform the services requested. I had to tow my car from there at my own expense and inconvinience. smh
