Part of my Daddy day road trip with my Dad was waiting in his car in the Toyota Technical Center parking lot for three or four hours while he was inside doing a seminar. It was not to be the first seminar of the day nor was the York facility going to be the only TTC I visited that day. Of course, boredom eventually set in, and to alleviate it, I did some exploring. Not a heck of a lot to see here, but I talked to some people who work at the place and got an inside scoop on the goings on. My Dad, actually, works for Honda, so, not exactly sure why he was there. Thus, he couldn't tell me more about the place. From what I gather, from the people I met who work at Toyota, the center helps to educate dealers and service managers about the intricacies of what goes on in a typical Toyota. Nobody seemed to be super happy about their jobs, for various reasons. If you decide to drop by for, I don't know, maybe your own Toyota is messed up, or to do some sight seeing, I think your going to be rather disappointed. I'm not sure making an appointment will help, or whether that's even possible without having some kind of stake in Toyota's business.

Wow was invited here to attend a brain storming session. It is impressive, especially for someone like me who grew up in the auto industry. That said, the auto world
