This place caused me nothing but problems. First the Chevy dealership recommended them to replace my cracked windshield. We scheduled an appointment and rearranged our schedules so my car could be available only to find out they brought the wrong windshield. After we rescheduled they put an aftermarket windshield on my car. Because of this, I couldn’t get my cameras to calibrate properly and ended up spending hours over multiple days at the Chevy dealership getting the cameras to work. On top of that, they got glue all over my car interior and didn’t clean it off. My interior is tan and you can see fingerprints everywhere. Not even a month after I had the windshield replaced, the very first rock to hit my window cracked it. Since then I have received about 5 more cracks. Everything that touches the aftermarket windshield causes it to crack. But that’s not even the worst part. My windshield was replaced in the winter. Well, come summer I started having this terrible smell of garbage in my car and my windshield would have condensation on the inside. We called town and country because we thought it wasn’t sealed properly and was leaking water. Town and country said it was likely a blocked sunroof drain causing leaking. So my husband took my car apart only to find out that they had entirely disconnected the sunroof drain and never reconnected it when they installed the windshield so for months any and all water had just been pouring into my passenger seat carpet. My whole passenger seat is mildewy, the internals of my car are rusting, parts of my electronics are shorting out. It’s been a disaster. We did what we could to dry everything out and reconnected the sunroof drain. However, now it’s winter again and yet again I’m having more condensation on the inside of my car, almost certainly from a poor windshield seal.
I’m so upset that so many aspects of my car have been trashed due to poor windshield installation. Would never recommend them
Edited to respond to the business reply: this occurred a while back but the condensation inside the car becomes apparent with the cold weather. After all our problems we asked Chevy why they recommended this company and Chevy responded that the company was recently under new management/ownership and they weren’t familiar with the new quality of work. We also did reach out to town and country when we first started noticing the condensation and the mildewy smell. The tech we spoke to did not come look at the windshield but told us it was likely because the sunroof drain was clogged. Upon further inspection to remove clogs if any were present, we found the disconnected sunroof drain. Prior to the installation of the new windshield, there were no problems with leaking or condensation and even after reconnecting the sunroof drain this season I’m still finding condensation inside which indicates a poor seal on the windshield. It’s even more disappointing for them to assume I am falsifying my experience with them. Even assuming the disconnected sunroof drain was unrelated to the windshield installation, I still have the issue of them ordering the incorrect and aftermarket parts and having to go out of my way to schedule a new appointment, issues with calibration due to the use of an aftermarket windshield (per Chevy), fingerprints and sloppy glue work on the inside of my car, and a poor windshield seal resulting in multiple issues with condensation. these are all directly related to the poor windshield installation job performed by town and country
Great service and extremely fast. I got my windshield replaced today and I could barely get back into work before they were done and it was time to pay. It is also nice that they come to you so you can carry on with your day with no long wait time or sitting in a shop all day.
Casie Jingle sorry to hear you having so many problems. We are not sure who you are because we have no record of ever doing work for you, especially 4wks ago? Anyway, if a dealership was having an issue with calibrating a windshield that we installed, particularly a dealership that would have recommended you to us, that dealership would be burning up our phone due to said
calibration issues we would be installing a new part at no charge. Secondly, we do not sabotage sunroof drain tubes. We do not even touch the sunroof drain tubes or drop down headliners to access those tubes. They are connected to the roof pan between the headliner and sunroof. Thirdly, if you were having these problems which sounds like it could have been a while ago, why are we just now hearing of them and why haven't you contacted us about these issues. We make a top priority to address any issue customers may have with our workmanship, our products and any other issue they may have, especially customers that were recommended to us from a reputable dealership. What's sad is that anybody can post whatever they want on the interweb even if what they are posting is false accusations. We are terribly sorry to hear you are having all these problems that we have been accused of causing. All you need to do is reach out to us so we can address them. We can not fix the problem if we do not know that a problem exists. I would suggest to you Ms. Jingle that you contact us so we can address this matter sooner rather then later.
Sincerely,
Town and Country Mobile Auto Glass
As to the remark that this company is under new management, We've been owned and operated by the same person over 25 years and have never been sold to anyone.
I manage a fleet of commercial vehicles. We have been using Town & County for years. Great, down to earth service executing diligent work. They have done simple repairs or replacements but also have done more complex windshield with sensors and all that. My go-to glass shop.
These guys were so fast that they had the broken windshield out before I even knew they were here and they had the new one in before I got outside to pay them. Great service. Hopefully I won't need another windshield replaced anytime soon, but if I do this is who I'm calling. Oh, and of the three places that I called, they were $40 cheaper than one place and $260 cheaper than some other place that's obviously a ripoff.
I had 2 different windshields replaced over the last few days, the first one there was an issue. When we spoke with them they agreed the own would come do the 2nd windshield everything was wonderful on that one. Now I have 2 trucks with perfect new windshields .the owner addressed the issue and I truly appreciate the fast and friendly service, the amazing prices and the honest hard work Tom and his crew put in. Please support small businesses,!!
Town & Country replaced my windshield today. They were prompt, personable and reasonably priced. They were the only company that took the time to explain heated wipers and associated pricing. Mike took my call and did the work today. Price was lower than that of the company my insurance company directed me to. Am impressed all around.
I had two cracks in my dash. After they were done I had twenty cracks in my dash. They must have bumped the headlight switch and the light were on , I turned them off once. But when they left , the lights were on. The last thing you do before installing a glass is clean it. I got to that today after two weeks of haze. Most of the grills in my defroster on the dash blew out when I turned the air conditioner on. Broken. The inspection sticker and the ez pass were done nicely.
