My son's car broke down while visiting Kentucky from up here in Ontario Canada. After struggling to figure out where to have it towed, we definitely made the right decision when we chose Total Auto Service. The owner told us he would look after us, and he certainly did. They went above and beyond and we couldn't be happier. My son's car went from very unsafe, to very safe, and he was finally able to venture home. Highly recommend, honest, reliable work at a very fair price. We are eternally grateful. :-)
Worst experience ever! Made an appointment for a Tuesday at 8 am. They had the car 3 days before got the estimate. Took another 3 days to make repairs. Got it back drove it for a total of 4 hours and the repair did not correct the issue plus several other issues arose. Called the next morning and they said bring it back asap. They kept the car another 15 days. They called and said the car was ready only to get 2 miles down the road to find it was fixed. We will never use this repair shop again.
Everytime they fixed my vehicle some thing else would tear up just a couple days after I got it back. And it was always really expensive to get that fixed and it still isn't fixed
I don’t live in Harlan, but I teach there and they took care of my car right away. They treat you like your a family friend with good customer service and excellent care for your car. I would recommend to anyone and no one else will be working on my car going forward.

I believe that the owner of Total Auto is honest and straightforward. The mechanics here have done a good job on the repair jobs I've needed, and the prices have seemed fair. I definitely will return.

They have always been very helpful generally nice people. Ive only had a couple tires mounted and balanced but im sure they are good at the other aspects of mechanics too. Overall afforadble labor friendly staff.
