Best family owned Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs by far.. service is phenomenal, friendly and committed staff, and beautiful eating environment.. you will forget you're not actually in Mexico. The owners are great people who love what they do and providing absolute top tier food for their community and visitors. Hands down best eating experience I have had in a long while. Ordered a 32oz cup of menudo to go, price was $15ish and comes with sides of fresh hot tortillas, oregano, diced onions and a lime wedge.
Personally, I love lime so I wish there’d give more along with onion. It’s a good serving!
The menudo and tortillas were very hot, just the way we love it. Came home and served a bowl and now I have plenty left over. Could feed 2-3 people ☺️
The flavor is sooo full, I’m Mexican and my family cooks- and this felt like a bowl of menudo from my grandma. Spicy, heavy on the meat and flavorful.
I will come back just for the menudo.
Also bought tortillas de harina (flour tortillas) fresh and a nice quantity. Great food and fresh tortillas to take home at a reasonable price.
Delicious food; our party had 6 different menu items, and everyone of them was fabulous! The restaurant itself needs serious maintenance and cleaning. Our server, an older gentleman, did amazing. The gal who checked us out lacks customer care and service skills.
I love this place!! Some great Menudo, and heard they got best barbacoa tacos in town, but out. So worth a 30 minutes from up town just for this restaurant. Authentic eatery, real hidden gem, SMALL no frills, peoples place, well worth drive.
Wowwww.... this burrito de chile Verde was soooo juicy and delicious! I almost bought another one! Que rico burrito a Dios mio, I found a hidden gem ????
This used to be a better place. I been there a few times for some tamales and the first time they tasted old and previously frozen. The champurrado tasted nasty and it seem oily. The second time the tamales were undercooked. It's a disappointment since this was the best place for tamales before.
The best horchata hands down and haven't found better fresh tortillas in COS. Comes close to the tortillas I'm used to from El Toro in Santa Ana
Will never come back again, dine in, no napkings on the tables and tables are very durty the honey is not honey tortillas were ok. I hope the Health Department check them out
