Today My wife & I stopped in at this authentic Argentinian restaurant. We were seated promptly & I had a Cortado (coffee with a touch of milk) while I waited for our food. I ordered the “Milanesa Napolitana”, it came with fries & dip cups of homemade chimichurri. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size, that quickly followed with every consistently delicious bite (safe to say the authentic taste matched the price point). The atmosphere is comfortably compact, Argentinian fútbol memorabilia filled the walls. The staff are very attentive & make you feel at home. 10/10 in my book. I can’t wait for them to finally have ice cream!
Authentic Argentine Flavors at Toro y Pampa in Upland, CA
As an Argentine and a dedicated foodie, I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors that remind me of home. I found Toro y Pampa in Upland, California, while visiting family and it truly delivers. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the staff is very welcoming. They cook everything fresh when you order, so you might need to wait a little, but believe me, it’s worth it. I’ve tried many items from their menu, and I’ve loved each one.
I really wish they’d open a location in Las Vegas, where I live. It would be great to have such wonderful Argentine cuisine nearby. If you’re around Upland and looking for real Argentine taste, Toro y Pampa is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed!
We went back last Saturday after hiking and get two pizzas, one “special “ (mozzarella cheese, ham, red bell pepper and olives) and one fugaza (onions). Both excellent, cooked to perfection. I am a pizza lover and this the the best I’ve so far. As a desert we got a (huge) portion of “Chaja” (Argentinian delight) delicious
Definitely we will go back
This small restaurant is authentic and I really enjoyed their coffee. The pizza was good to and it has a lot of Argentinean products you can buy. The tortilla was also good and I think I would like to try breakfast time as the coffee was on point and they also have facturas and good bread. I like the fact that this authentic small restaurant is closer to my home. I was difficult for me to find a place like this around this area. I always had to drive far to feel at home.
Good people and great food. The empanadas are awesome.
You get a lot for what you pay for here too.

Toro y Pampa offers an authentic slice of Argentinian cuisine that will delight anyone with a penchant for robust flavors and hearty portions. The quality of the food is top-notch, with every dish boasting great flavor that reflects traditional cooking methods. The empanadas are standout, genuinely authentic, and filled with delicious ingredients that transport your taste buds straight to Argentina.
The Milanesa is another highlight, served in generous portions that promise to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. Additionally, the pizza menu is creatively Argentine, primarily notable for the Fugazza pizza—an absolute must-try for onion lovers, with its rich and aromatic topping.
However, while the food scores high marks, the service at Toro y Pampa can be a letdown; the restaurant often appears short-staffed, leading to longer than acceptable wait times for food. This recurring issue can detract from the dining experience, especially during busy hours when you expect prompt service.
In conclusion, if you're in no rush and want to savor some excellently prepared Argentinian dishes, Toro y Pampa is worth a visit. Be ready for a potentially slow service, and consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more relaxed meal.
I was so excited to find this Argentine restaurant! I was not disappointed at all! The food was amazing! I got Choripan and beef empanadas. The espresso was very good to end the meal!
