We wanted to celebrate the seniors that lived in our community. We called and got the owner, John. We advised him we were bringing our seniors from our town in and he made our reservation. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, the manager Antoinette was so accommodating, the server was very patient with our seniors and the service was great. We all had a great time and the food was amazing. I think we had a little bit of everything on the menu. Thank you so much from The Town of Morningside!
We were visiting from out of state and staying at the AFB nearby. I had just googled restaurants near me, and picked this one. Everyone in our group loved the food, it was a variety of pizzas and pastas at our table. The cheese bread they bring out, is actually so good it's worth the trip alone. It was popping here so it is a popular destination. If you're in the area I highly recommend it!!
I can not tell you how amazing our experience was here. The food was so good! The atmosphere was very rustic and beautiful. My favorite is rhe wood burning fireplace that kept us toasty and warm. It was beautiful. But the service was top notch! Our waiter 50/50 was amazing! He was the nicest waiter i have ever met. I mean he really is the best! We got our food soon and it was fresh. We got a pepperoni pizza and wings. The pizza reminded me of how Pizza Hut use to be. The wings were nice crispy and seasoned. We loved our experience so much, me and my husband are adding this restaurant to our date nice list. Check them out!!
Stopped in this genuine joint for some Italian cuisine while in Maryland.
An older decor, which I like, including a central fireplace that enhances the rustic feel. An open kitchen and what looked like a brunch buffet area offered who knows when?
I thought this place must be heavenly, I saw a Nunn eating there when I first stepped in the place:)
Calamari was ok, pretty standard frozen out of the bag it seemed.
Got a side of fettuccine with Alfredo sauce, wasn't bad but sauce was a little thin for me.
Main course was a seafood pizza; shrimp, crab, white sauce and mozz. This thing was amazing in a pan style, small was 4 big pieces.
If you're in the area, I'd recommend it, cool place out of the hustle and bustle.
Went here about 2 weeks ago on vacation to dc a little R&R. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Checked on us regularly. Drinks were bad. Little strong.. but hey.. can't complain about that. The bread and the mozz stocks we got were really good. I got a chicken Francese... it's not like most I have had. They cooked the chicken separate from the lemon sauce. As for the girlfriend, she got manicotti, which she loved, and the child got chicken parmesan, which was good but a little overcooked on the sides where it is crispy. The salads we got were simple and yet the right amount.. love those. All in all... I liked it and would go back to try other stuff... and there tomato sauce was good as well. Almost for got to mention that
Very joyful place. Capturing the Christmas spirit. We arrived around 4:30 pm and the restaurant was not crowded. By the time we left (6:00 pm) it was busy with people happily chatting.
Our experience was disappointing with some small positives.
We were sat and waited 15-20 minutes for the server to get to our table.
We were ordering and the waitress wasn’t writing anything down.
We received our drinks, syrup was out in the soda we ordered, we told the waitress and it took about 10 mins to replace it.
Then she came back and asked us again what kind of dressing we wanted with our salads, she forgot I guess.
We had a shrimp Bruschetta as an appetizer, it was ok, way too salty though.
My wife ordered the veal Marsala, tasted bland.
I ordered the steak and shrimp and chose pasta with Alfredo
Sauce as my side. I ordered the steak medium. Received my food but she gave me the cowboy steak that is the same steak but with out shrimp. So she got that wrong. The steak was well done, way over cooked.
About 10 mins later I finally got the shrimp, and it tasted delicious. Probably the only thing I enjoyed.
After this we needed refills and waitress was no where to be found.
When she finally came, she had her son with her while bringing us boxes we never asked her. Her son that was like 4 years old was carrying a plastic bag to give us for the boxes I assume. I’ve never experienced that before, having a waitress have her son come to the table and help her carry something, wow.
We finally paid, and as we were walking out she was up by the front door snacking on something.
Was craving some chicken Alfredo with angel hair pasta and they delivered. Flavor and quantity was definitely there. Fast and friendly service. I also got the veal which was amazing.
