Food is decent for the area and they have a wide menu choice but the portions have decreased in size. They also put their prices up more often than Tesco. This is the 3rd time now in less than a year I have picked up a new price increased menu of over 50p across every item. You can’t have it both ways, bad customer considerations and greedy.
Ordered food never came they rang after hour and half to confirm address then after 3 hours rang them said leave it I'm going to bed for him to say they've finishing cooking my order be 40 mins no mate I'll have a sandwich plus side saved 30 quid be trying the other Chineses in village next time
Just had our first Chinese from the top Wok at Ruskington. Very polite customer service easy ordering, delivery possible to Walcott. Arrived really quickly and the food was amazing, really tasty, loads of meat and prawns. Really fresh broccoli was included in the vegetables and it was lovely to eat. We will be back. Just had a delivery for the first time, my normal Chinese is closed for holidays, I ordered Roast duck Chinese style, Beef Curry, chips and deep fried squid, arrived as stated over the phone 45 mins, opened up the squid, it was soft, chewy and squigy, open up chips, these had certainly been cooked before, opened up curry(Beef), it was coloured water, no attempt to thicken up sauce, it really was water, then came my duck, again a very watery sauce. To say this was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever been served or tasted in my life, the only +sign was delivery driver, and my dinner went in the bin, I am having cheese and biscuits instead, great chance for Top Wok to grab more business, whilst other Chinese is clossed, what a total let down
Definitely would not recommend
Worst Chinese food we have ever tasted. Very bland without any passion thrown into the cuisine. Both dishes were lumpy thickened with cornflour. I've a renovation house nearby and my residence in Walpole Highway has a brilliant Chinese takeaway nearby named Yu's Kitchen. The owners of Top Wok Ruskington should take a trip there to find out what great Chinese food is all about.
Just had our first and last Chinese from here. Salt and pepper chips are just chips with chilli powder thrown on them. All the food was very bland no one can of tried this before serving.
Won’t be returning and payment very strange. No card machine
I have just had a really nice ' Special Chop Suey' with 'Egg Fried Rice' but my side order of 'Crispy Won Ton with Sweet and Sour Sauce' was very disappointing! It was just 6 small parcels of deep fried pastry!
I have always assumed that 'Won Tons' contained something.
Am I wrong?
Tony in Ruskington.
Pretty awful experience. I ordered beef with vegetables in oyster sauce. I asked before ordering would there be broccoli in it (it is usual in a beef and oyster sauce dish) I was assured there would be. What I got was a very bland and tasteless version of beef mushroom with a few random bits of cucumber cooked in it! We were advised that neither chips or rice were included with meals so bott myself and daughter ordered a portion of fried rice as accompaniment. The young lady servicing us did not advise that it would be a massive portion that would easily serve 2 as a meal accompaniment, so we ended up with way more rice than required that ended up in the bin. (with the rest of my bland dinner). Never again.
