Good little car shop if you live within walking distance. Certainly ok for state inspection, they were honest and didn't make up any unnecessary issues. It's a little run down and parking is super tight, seems like they only have one or two guys working there.
I've brought three cars here for state inspection. Each time, Sam was timely and honest. My wife also brought her car here and I felt like they treated her the same way which is how it should be! Will return here if needed in the future.
The guys at the shop are very friendly and honest. I've been to Top Tech with my older model Honda and they have taken great care of it. They did unnecessary work and were upfront with their pricing.
I brought my car into Top Tech to see what was going on with a few check engine lights. Sam was very helpful not only in diagnosing the problem but keeping the costs low with no unnecessary work. I will most definitely be back in the future with any car repair needs.
I recently took my car for the state inspection to transfer it in Maryland. I was a bit scared since my car is pretty old (Honda Civic 2002) and I heard horror stories about thousands of dollars for repairs. I met Sam at the counter who told me that the inspection takes 2 hours and he will call me. One hour later I got a call where he explained the problems he found in the car. Nothing substantial: only cleaning the headlights and swipe blades. He told me I could do it myself and take the car back. I let him to do these small things for a very reasonable price and with excellent results. At the end I paid around $200 and I had a very relaxed experience. The car was ready after two hours as promised.
We had an excellent experience getting state safety inspections done on our two vehicles and highly recommend this location. The repairs were reasonably priced and completed quickly, and for the kind of repair my car needed, there was a noticeable and improved difference in driving it. I really appreciated their distinction between required and recommended repairs and getting different quotes so that we can plan for future work on my car. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly and stayed in communication with us about the inspections and subsequent repairs.
Used this shop for 3 years. Sam is great and as a person who knows nothing about cars I feel like he gives it to me straight and doesn’t know overcharge for stuff. A couple of times he didn’t even charge me when I brought my car to ask about a specific issue.
I’ve used Top Tech for two different vehicles over the last four years and have been completely satisfied with the service.
