This restaurant has the tastiest Caribbean food! My husband and I got chicken soup, curry goat, brown stew fish and ice cream. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. The portion sizes were great, and the employees displayed excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning!
While I understand that restaurants can get busy, my experience at Top Taste was incredibly frustrating. I placed my order online, allowing for a 20-minute lead time before I arrived at the store. Upon my arrival, I found only a few customers inside. However, I waited for about 10 minutes before being able to notify someone that I was there to pick up my order. After being informed that my order would be ready in approximately 8 minutes, I left and returned, only to find that my order was still not prepared.
After waiting for a full hour since placing my order, I inquired again, only to discover that it was still not ready. This was particularly frustrating as most of the food is usually pre-cooked. While I empathize with the servers who appeared overwhelmed, I believe there should be better communication with customers regarding wait times.
Ordering ahead is meant to be a convenient and quick option, yet I watched as several customers who arrived after me were served before me. It's essential for restaurants to value their customers' time and provide accurate information on wait times. Top Taste needs to improve its communication, organization, and show more empathy towards customers' frustrations. My hope is that my feedback helps them enhance their service in the future.
This is my number one Caribbean restaurant in New Jersey. I buy food from top taste every day. I feel like I should be you guys grand ambassador????❤️ food was great. You should try the fried chicken combo with the natural sauce. They’re natural sauce is everything and make sure you get a fresh salad with a peanut punch.
It was worth the wait. Stew fish was excellent, curry goat tasted like back home, and my daughter rave about the jerk chicken and portions. Definitely, we will be back.
Food still great. Took a long time to prepare a large plate of Jerk chicken. But I understand Caribbean time. There are no options to dine in... Though there is plenty of space to do so. Great for a pick up and vibe at home. Grab one of those many juices and go.
I LOOOOVE coming here for the food, it is absolutely flavorful, with a mixture of great spice and awesomely tender meats. A bit expensive, so come with about $20 and you’ll be FED. Aside from the good food, the customer service is next to abysmal, with the younger clerks who shoot you with dirty looks and just plain ugly attitudes. The food is good enough to ignore them, but keep in mind they may not follow direction as communication is lacking somewhat. Overall, this restaurant is capable of delivering great options that are not only flavorful but also on the healthier side with options including vegetarian dishes and fresh made fruit juices, aside from that be prepared to be disrespected by some of the younger workers who take your money with every bit of attitude they can muster, not a smile in sight, or a “good morning” to be acknowledged. If the customer service was better, this restaurant would EASILY be capable of delivering 4-5 star experiences.
Great food. Decent customer service depending on who’s there or how often you’re there. The more money you spend the better the service. I had to tell 1 of the workers to greet customers & at least try to crack a smile. Price changes every 2 days. The mini jerk went from $9 to $11 then $12 within a total of 3 months. Mind you I had an old receipt showing that it’s usually $9 but she insisted it’s now $11 & sometimes $12. So that was my last & final time coming. Enjoy tho
Not necessarily bad but way too much pepper and it over powered the curry goat! I never complain about seasoning but it was very salty and full of pepper! Probably won't order again because the pepper was too much! I hardly tasted any curry!
