We’ve taken our dog to this location regularly since we moved here 18 months ago. They were ok at first. Service was lacking and grooms were acceptable but we dealt with it because the price was reasonable amd location was close and convenient.
The last time we were there about 6 months ago, our dog’s groom was just terrible. His nails were not cut at all and his feet were not trimmed. He was bathed but not well, because within a week he was back to feeling grimy again. His undercoat was not brushed and he was shedding everywhere.
When we called they denied doing a terrible job but did say the nails must have been an oversight and to bring him back. We didn’t, we just took him to a new groomer that same week because he needed a full new groom.
Do not recommend.
I've been taking my dog here for years but yesterday was my last time. My dog is a medium size schnauzer mix. In the summer we have him shaved and in winter we keep his hair long. When I called to make the appointment I told them he needed a bath and sanitary shave under the tail. When I dropped him off I said again that he just needed a bath and sanitary shave. The owner asked if I wanted his face trimmed I replied no I like his eyebrows. She said we'll clean it up. When I picked him up he had been completely shaved. When I asked about the shave the groomer just said this is what we always do for him. I told her no only in summer and I told them twice it was just a bath and sanitary shave. The groomer did not apologize just picked up a paper and said this what we've done in the past. She also made a comment about how his coat was thick enough for the weather. I paid for the service (no tip) and left. They have lost a regular costumer.
Took my dog here and said I would not like the dog shaved. But because the hair was “matted” they had to shave it. Rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Will not be back.
The dog and I were both acting like complete spazzes and she somehow was able to bypass all that and get a nail trim done quickly with as little fuss as possible. Sorry store owner but we will be returning customers, we liked you, we were just having a ruff day and am scared of clippers, new places, tile floors etc etc.
I took my Yorkie to top hat and tails please do not take your dogs here daisy had a small cut below her eye she is a sweet dog. They complained she tried to bite them and need to be tranquilized. Never had a complaint from any groomer. I must say to all of you that said you had a good experience you must have got lucky.
I sent my adorable dog to this lady and she said that she would get his mats out. We haven't been the best at taking care of his hair but isn't that why groomers exist? Not trying to come off as a bad dog parent but nobody is perfect. After I placed my trust in this lady to keep my dog's hair at a decent length (it was about 3-4in long), I come back and he is essentially bald. I would understand if he was completely matted but he had 3 mats on him, 2 of which were on his tail. And her best solution was to shave him bald? Foul woman. I need to shelter my baby from the cold now bc he shivers and is so small. Must've been because my dog is brown... Never coming back.
Good price for fantastic service. Our Lhasa Apso is very senior, down to one eye, and has anxiety outside the house. But when we bring her to Top Hat she is calm. They treat her like a princess here. Kind people and always do a great job with her grooming. Highly recommend. Support our local small businesses.
In the state of Maryland, to work with a dog, youre required to get a copy of vaccine papers and all of the timed we have gone to this place, theyve never asked.
Awful service. always had bad customer service but our dogs always came out looking okay.
Ig if you dont mind their bad additudes, but honestly there are way better options for the area.
