Staff was very friendly. I got the platter and some lemon rice soup. Their Taziki was wonderful. House made. Only real comment for why only 4 stars is the gyros didn’t really pack a flavor punch and was in little bits and not larger stripes. I’ll go back and give them another chance because they are close and friendly.
This is the best middle eastern food I've had... pretty much ever. And that includes eating all over Turkey. My wife is not a big fan of hummus, but she had to admit that the hummus here was delicious. Everything was delicious, and not normal delicious. It's seriously better than any other middle eastern restaurant I've ever tried. And I've eaten at a lot of middle eastern restaurants.
The Italian Beef is delicious and the gyros are amazing. I love their food and their customer service. I can’t wait to try the falafel and chicken shawarma! This is my new go to place for Middle Eastern food!
First off let me say you can smell the food a block away! My daughter and was looking for a place to eat before we got on the highway to head back home and I saw the great reviews and gave it a shot, and it was well worth it! Everything was great but I did however give them 3 stars for the service because the girl that took our order kept referring to my daughter and I as guys, so I politely corrected her as she said it a 3rd time and said "We're ladies sweetheart" and she rolled her eyes a little bit but no biggie, we then sat down to eat and she comes telling us that they close in an hour or so, so I'm like what does that have to do with us and she replies well we have to sweep and mop etc and I reply were just gonna hsveca few bites and head out so she walks away and thst was the end of that! But on the good note the guy that made our food was really nice and polite! Regardless of it all I'll definitely go back
The lady at the front was very short and rude with us. She wasn’t that helpful at all when we were asking questions. The beef “shawarma” was generic and tough. Asked for extra meat and got the exact same as the sandwich without extra meat yet still got charged for it. Save your money.
The Lebanese food at Tony's Diner was very good and the owner friendly. We shared the Vegetarian Sampler and the Meat Sampler, which was more food than the two of us could eat. The meat pies and grape leaves were especially good, but I can't say what my favorite was on either plate because I liked it all. We will be going back to this diner for some of the best Middle Eastern food we've found in the NW Indiana area.
The food was delicious! We wanted to try everything, but settled on the falafel plate (perfectly crispy and moist falafel, yummy hummus, tasty tabouli, and amazingly fluffy, salty, warm pita), hashwi (first time having that...small crumbles of beef, rice and a light cinnamon seasoning), delicious chicken shawarma and chicken gyro, plus freshly made buckeyes and peppermint patties. It was all so good. The owner was friendly, helpful and attentive. Only complaint about the atmosphere was that it was chilly...but the food was so worth it! We definitely will be back!
Great family run business with really incredible gyro, falafel, dolmas, and shawarma. Service is fast and friendly and they have recently reopened their dining room for eating in. Try their home baked deserts as well. This is the best Mediterranean meals in northern Indiana.
