I was a little disappointed in my experience here. I thought it would be a quick meal but it took around 40-50 minutes for me to get my food. Started in the drive thru, after 10 minutes of waiting with no cars moving I decided to go inside. Went to the walk up window and a guy waiting said he had been there waiting for a while with no help. Sooo I went inside. Maybe they’re understaffed but I think they need to figure out a better system with so many ways to order. She forgot I ordered chili cheese fries so she gave me a side of chili and cheese last minute. The coney was just okay. Their menu outside is not updated and has the wrong prices. They also charged me for “sports peppers” (no idea what those are) for each coney I ordered but there were no peppers on any of them. Prices are reasonable.
A friend in the area had recommended Tony’s as the best Coney Dogs in Columbus. After sampling I can say that was a bold assumption. But this place has heart and is one of the true ice cream shops I have seen that isnt a commercial overpriced Jenis, Graeters, or whatnots. They have the tastes of childhood and summer in their coney dogs, slush’s, scoop ice cream, and sundaes.
I walk into Tony's after a while of not eating there, first thing I see is a half gallon of milk with the cap off sitting unattended on the counter with people walking around it, I order a cheeseburger, and it takes about 15 minutes to get it, when I left the half gallon of milk was still sitting on the counter with the cap still off. When I got back to my place and opened the wrapper to my burger I was left disgusted, it was completely rare, I don't know how it took them 15 minutes to make it, but I can guarantee it was only on the grill for 3 to 5 minutes out of that time.
Well run neighborhood fast food and soft serve ice cream restaurant. They have a drive thru, outside order window and dine in. It's clear the neighborhood loves this place and I can see why. The food is great quality and REALLY affordable and fast. I was especially impressed with the cheddar, bacon, onion burger. BIG patty and toppings were perfect. I tried a cheese coney too, but I still like Skyline better.
Hats off to this place. I wish I lived closer!
It was pretty ok... I was expecting the conies to be good because it's in the name. Very mediocre, I could make MUCH better at home. Also had a burger, which was ok. Ice cream was decent, onion rings were good. Cashiers were freindly, but it was slow. Not really sure what the hype is about that place
Decided to check this place out this evening. Ordered 6 Coneys, onion rings and fries for $15. Bargain City. Coneys came with chili, cheese, mustard and onions. Coneys are pretty good with plenty of condiments on them. Onion rings had a nice crisp coating to them and were delicious. As you can see a good portion of fries. Went through the drive through and it was super quick. Staff was really friendly.
Ordered the *SO called soft serve* Orange cream the first time , Strawberry the second. Both products were water based. I do not recommend the soft serve if you are looking for the typical cream based type. Others it may appeal to..
Favorite list corn dogs. My order was not right.I asked for no mustard on my chilidog, and they gave me mustard any way. I had got home with my meal, didn't feel like sitting in the long line again.
