On the way to Hendersonville to visit friends - my alternator belt snapped off so the power steering quit working while the alternator quit charging on my ’07 Subaru. It happened on a Friday night and I was scrambling trying to find a mechanic that would be open on the weekend to get it fixed.
I came across Tony’s Auto Repair on Google and with his positive ratings and reviews I decided to try him. The new owner is now Robert and he assisted me and was very accommodating in helping me out. He normally does not open on Saturdays but since Robert said it would be an easy fixed (belt replacement only) he said to bring it in. I was able to find a tow truck service (A-Plus Towing) to bring it to him on Saturday morning and by 12Noon my car was fixed & ready. Wow, Robert was so nice to help me out. Thanks so much Robert!
All around wonderful experience and affordable repair. Robert was friendly, accommodating, and going above and beyond. We have had an ongoing issue with the A/C in our car. Robert went above and beyond in getting this hard to detect issue fixed. He spent over 4 hours in diagnostic time that he didn't charge us for and got to the bottom of why it wasn't working. We now have stable air conditioning in our car, again. We cannot thank him enough for his kindness and integrity. We highly recommend Tony's Auto Repair in Hendersonville, NC. Best auto repair shop we've ever been to. Much gratitude!!
Robert is most honest and forward auto shop and mechanic in town period. Been doing business with him for 5+ years. Great at his job and passion for vehicles, remembers customers and vehicles types to a tee. Always has a positive attitude, does a great job of focusing on the customers and his business. I take my 2006 F-350 6.0L diesel here for maintenance and repairs. Tony is honest and trustworthy. He has never done me wrong and he takes the time to explain how the systems work and what needs to be done to keep it running trouble free. I was visiting from Florida, my truck started making a horrible sound. It was a Saturday afternoon and he was already working on someone else's car. I brought my truck in, he diagnosed it as bad universal joints. He stopped what he was doing, replaced my u joints and got me back on the road on the same day. We had plans to leave on Sunday and because of Tony we were able to safely keep our plans. Thank you Tony!
Very knowledgeable mechanics that will tackle some of the hard jobs other mechanics don't want to do. They may take longer than other mechanics but they do a thorough job.
I highly recommend, Robert was very empathetic and went above and beyond! He got us fixed up and back on the road even though it was later on a Saturday when everybody is ready to get home. Very thankful.
