Best KPortal Reviews
This review is mainly for the Steak & Lobster deal. Currently, the cost is $13.99 per plate.
My partner and I visited on Friday's night and thought the food was pretty good for what you're paying for. We noticed all the bad reviews and didn't have high expectations for it but decided the deal was too good to pass up. The staff since the beginning was very courteous and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend going earlier than what the hours indicated. They start writing down names for the wait list for the steak and lobster starting at 8pm. We showed up at 7:50pm, and there were already a couple of parties ahead of us, but we were able to get seated by 8:45pm. I also suggest that if you want a small free appetizer, then ask your server for some breads when they come to take your order!
The food is obviously not Michelin Stars, but the quality was pretty good nonetheless! I asked for my steak to be medium rare, and it came out exactly as I had hoped. Hopefully, they won't raise the price anymore, but for what it is, I think it's worth it to visit if you want decent foods and also on a budget!
Just visited on May 28. I was very excited after reading the reviews but my god. I will be a straight forward as possible. I’ve been to restaurants here in Las Vegas who offer specials similar to this but this was far less quality.
First off get there around 830 to out your name on the list, they’ll text you when your table is ready. So that was nice. About a 40 min wait.
The waiter came over took our order, simple we wanted the special. No substitutions allowed.
You can order your steak however but it always comes out the same. My wife order medium well and I order medium rare. It was identical.
I sent it back and the steak came back the same.
The potatoes were same too, overcooked and warm. Vegetables were from a can and mushy and warm. The lobster chewy.
The food came out quick, ten minutes. I looked around and everyone in that diner was getting their food quick.
Here is my thought, my wife pointed it out. The food is coming out quickly because it’s all prepped and waiting in the back.
The plate is hot but the food not so hot. So it means it’s sitting under a warmer lamp like hospital food waiting to be taken out. The steaks are the same cooked medium well near well. Probably because they are still cooking under the lamp. I do not believe this food is fresh.
Taste, the steak is plain. No buttery flavor or salt. It’s plain and you need the A1. The lobster is fine tasting wise but the butter dip was more like oil
Flavor only.
I really wanted to like this for the price 13.99 but I can’t. Even for the price there needs to be some quality given. I am currently going to reach out to the restaurant customer service and request a refund or least hear my complaint.
So many tourists come here and locals I wish you could see the faces as they saw what I saw.
The French onion soup was very good!! I got the spinach and artichoke chicken as a meal. The chicken was good! When it came to the beans and rice they really lacked flavor. The potato skins were good as well! The host had an attitude when talking with her. Our waitress was good, however there was a guy walking around and he was excellent! Watched over us when we needed him he was there! I wish I got his name. Made sure we had water and our plates were picked up when done.
The lobster and steak special (14 dollars after 9 pm) is what brings everyone in, and for good reason. You cannot get anything close to that price anywhere else. The food is then obviously not 5 star, but I was surprised and pleased with it. My husband found it too rich and fatty tasting, but I think for the price, it's good value for money. The service and atmosphere is average, in fact we got chased out by the hostess once we had finished our food and also the hostess was short with everyone at the entrance, but that is almost understandable considering how packed it was.
I wouldn't necessarily be back now that I've tried it, but if you want to find a cheap special that really gives you great value for money on Freemont Street, I'd recommend.
Went for the Thursday night Prime Rib Dinner Special (10.99 4:30-6:30pm) with friends. Prime Rib, baked potato and vegetable medley. Ten bucks! How can you go wrong??!!
Once seated, service was fast.
Food arrived hot. Ordered my prime rib medium rare - it was not too rare - tender, flavorful. Fresh baked potato with plenty of butter and sour cream. A side of mixed veggies - corn, peas, carrots - nothing to write home about. No side salad (that woulda been $6.99 extra). Food arrives very fast. Restaurant was packed.
Line for entry forms early. I arrived just before 4:00pm and was near the front of the line. They don’t let everyone in at once - more like in chunks - so plan accordingly.
Want a great dining deal in Las Vegas, this is it!
I would recommend.
Please don't have high hopes for the 11.99 sirloin steak and lobster meal. You get what you pay for. The lobster tail was very good, tho. Our food came out in 20 minutes, and we had a wait time of 35 minutes before being seated. Would I try this again...hmmm only if I'm on a budget & I'm super hungry with no other options.
We had the steak and lobster special for 13.99. I don't know of any other place you could get that for that price. Did have to put our name on the list and waited for about 45 minutes. However, they text when it's time. But, we received our food in under 15 minutes. Great food for the price.
We got the daily 4:30-6:30 prime rib special. It was always 8.99. Now it’s 10.99 but the cut seems bigger. It comes with vegetables and baked potato. I’d say it’s around 12oz. We went there at 4:00 and got in at 4:30. It’s Saturday but the line up was not as bad as the year before. The servers there are always nice.
Note:
Before I used to park my car at Binions Hotel and it was $10+. Now I found out we could park at Main Street Station and I got free parking with Tony Romas validation. All you have to do is to take your food receipt and parking stub to the security room 15 steps to the left of the registration counter and the valet/security staff will validate it by adding a bar code.
I’ve attached picture of the Main Street Station Casino parking entrance.
