Simplistic menu, which is a good sign the chef specializes in the dishes offered. I was a little surprised breaded chicken was in the chicken ramen and hoped for more garnishes, but the broth was flavorful, and noodles had a good bite texture. The menu could use a few descriptions under the items to better explain the offering to the customer.
The artwork was beautiful, and I spent more time looking at the art than eating the food.
I’m not sure what everyone else ate that was so good, but none of us liked our food. My son got the ramen….it looked like a ramen noodle packet. My tonkotsu was drenched in some kind of a soupy liquid and the eggs looked grey…it was overall just awful. The most disappointing part was that the food was so expensive.
I never would have found this place, but I'm very glad that I did.
Excellent service, good food, good prices, great presentation and incredible art.
I had the chicken curry cutlet and my wife had the garage curry Gudin.
We will make it a point to visit again when we're in town..
I have been looking for a place that serves actual Japanese food. Not teppanyaki, or Westernised sushi, but simple dishes you’d find at someone home or Simple lunch counter. The Miso soup was so rich and flavour. I ordered the Tonkatsu as a main and was more than pleased. Light, fresh, and served by a genuinely warm hostess. This was my first visit, but will not be my last!
Absolutely wonderful restaurant from genuine & welcoming owners to stellar, authentic dishes. The food is always presented beautifully, & it all tastes as delicious & fresh as it looks! The restaurant itself is extremely clean & has a welcoming, homey atmosphere. Every visit to this restaurant is as equally good as previous visits! Also, the owners are not only excellent cooks, but they are also skilled artists & musicians! (The art on the restaurant walls is done by the husband!) Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
We ordered the chicken cutlet. It basically was a thin chicken breast coated in light breading with a red sauce sprinkled on it. The sauce had like a tangy flavor. It was good. The miso soup had a good flavor. It's a nice little spot. The service was driendly and quick.
Very cute place. Mom and pop restaurant. Friendly folks. I had the Spicy Ramen and it was delicious. Artwork is very neat too, it's all hand drawn by the chef.
Food was really good. Cool place. I got the pork cutlet and the soba.
