After getting gas, my car would not start. I had no warning and no clue for the reasons why. Everything was either closed or close to the time. I located Tonka Auto & Marine on the internet search engine. I called and spoke withe a female receptionist, she was friendly. I explained my situation and asked for their hours. Although their closing time was close, she gave me information on what to do if they were closed and their status with working on other vehicles. She reassured me if I did drop the vehicle off overnight, how to proceed with the keys and follow up. I was able to drop car off and they looked at it first thing that morning. It did not take them long to tell me the issue and gave me the estimated cost. After all was done, I mentioned I would need to call a lyft or an uber. I was within a certain mile radius and they offered to pick me up. The service was so prompt and friendly, I requested other services from them before I was scheduled to come. They picked me up as scheduled and got me to my truck. They explained the work done and the warranty window if I need replacements. I would highly recommend. ????

Instead of trying to up-sell us things we don’t need or charge outrageous prices, we always walk away from this shop knowing the necessary repairs are being taken care of at a reasonable cost. In the case that we have had to seek service elsewhere for a very specific issue, they were kind enough to look things over and point us in the right direction.
This place is awesome, great mechanics who are also friendly and helpful. Many repairs and parts needed and my car was back to me the same day. Communication was excellent, I highly recommended taking your vehicles there ????
I had my vehicles services Tonka Auto And Marine for many years before relocating a few years back. I have tried a good number of shops over the years, you will simply not find a more honest and sincere approach to automotive service. And the rates are very fair as well. Steve, Kelli and the crew have built an excellent reputation built on customer service as a primary goal. And to top it all off, they're doggone nice folks!!!
They have worked on several of my vehicles, each of which is in a different state of disrepair. Communication is always great, prices are fair and customer service is amazing. They charge you for the work they do and only do work that actually needs to be done to keep you on the road and keep you and your family safe. Highly recommend!
Seriously wouldn’t go anywhere else! They were able to get my car in the same day I called, diagnose and fix the problem all within an hour. It simply needed a new fuel coil!Nick was honest and upfront with me about what else I should do with my car that has 140k miles on it. They don’t try to push anything on you! And have I mentioned how cheap their oil changes are! Seriously so thankful for this place. I’ve come here before with a bulb that needed replaced and they did it at no charge. Honest guys doing honest work. No BS, what else could you want out of a mechanic. Won’t go anywhere else from now on!
Great business. Always goes out of their way to help me out with my vehicle, squeeze it in while I'm working so I'm not without a vehicle. Even re-checked something and fixed it free of charge from a previous company that messed something up. They went out of their way to get a warranty on my rotors, since the previous company that installed them went out of business and took my warranty with it- They have honest pricing and don't "screw me over"- beyond that I am a needy parent, and needy car owner, even though I call at least 5 times while they have my car for updates, they are never rude or snarky, nor get annoyed with my "need to know whats happening" and always give me updates in a friendly, honest manner. The staff are all wonderful and courteous and go out of their way to get the job done.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with Tonka Auto and Marine, and if I had a boat- I'd totally bring it to them too..
I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Kudos guys (and gals) keep up the great work!
