I Ispent over $50 for 2 meals the size of kids meals. $18 for a side of rice and steak? No noodles no shrimp appetizer . Soup bowl was small, didn’t include any dressing for the salad. Yum yum sauce smaller than a shot glass?! I could have went to the mall for this…my salmon meal was small too.
Came here with my family for my birthday dinner and everything was pretty good. Server Juan was sweet and our chef was awesome. The chef helped my birthday end on a high note. I would come back and ask for my same cook as he had a good sense of humor. He kept the birthday lady happy!
The 2 sushi rolls was good and I liked the flavor of the soup appetizer that comes with hibachi meals.
Also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant. I’m a big lover of my house plants so to see so many plants was pretty awesome. And the purple lights were cool. The restroom was clean and equipped with a changing table, good hand soap at the sink and good water pressure for hand washing.
The only things I didn’t like here was the sauce choices on the side. The yum yum sauce tasted like ginger dressing and the teriyaki sauce was extremely watery, so it didn’t coat the hibachi meats.
Another downside was the signage outside. The sign being broken gave my family and I a bad first impression but it didn’t keep us from going in and trying the place out.
This was my first time at this restaurant so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m glad I came and will definitely be back.
We were in town for a robotics competition and the boys love a new sushi house. We stopped in and was very delighted to hear that they had a great menu for sushi bar and we pretty much got just about everything. The sashimi was still super cold and fresh and the order for an extra large bowl of miso soup with spectacular to look at and tasted great. The chef and the waiter took good care of us but it was a little smoky due to the hibachi tables surrounding us at the bar. Added it as a favorite to my Google maps and when in the area plan on returning. ????
This place was a let down.. I read the reviews and there is no way that the people who wrote the previous reviews actually ate the food. For starters.. the chef burnt the eggs for the fried rice, the rice was actually hard. The chicken had no flavor, and the chef was very messy with his plating. The couple at the hibachi table with us ordered steak, and the chef over cooked it, so they spoke with the manager about it, and nothing was done to accommodate the mishap
It was my first time here at this establishment with my family…we was greeted with a warm welcome and was seated immediately…it was a cool laid back atmosphere…the chef & hostess was on point…I ordered the chicken & shrimp combination and it was delicious….the bathrooms was also clean as well and that’s a major plus…we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu….
The OG of Japanese food in McDonough! The service is great, the food is always fresh and amazingly prepared with a great presentation. The cocktails are not light on the spirits, and are always on point!! I have made this my ""at least"" once a week spot.
I ate here for the first time with my best friend and her daughter for Valentines. It was crazy busy but the staff was amazing and held it together very well. The staff and chefs made it well worth the wait time. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I’ll definitely be revising this place in the future. To the staff.. Thank you for all your amazing hard work on a night of the year I’m sure is most stressful???? You did great and made it through.
Excellent experience through and through! Bathrooms clean and intentional. Food delicious and great portions!! The most scallops I may have ever had at Hibachi. Chef was kind and generous and good with our toddler. Hostess was excellent and polite and caring. For people complaining about the auto tip, if you don’t have enough money to tip, you don’t have enough to go out. Wish we lived here bc we would be back often!
