Great restaurant. I used to visit every week and enjoyed every experience. I still make sure to come by when visiting. The food is like nothing you’ve ever had. The staff is so friendly and treat their customers with care while also making you feel welcomed. It’s a nice chill environment with beautiful scenery.
I’m visiting from another town and honestly I loved Tokyo Bowl. I ordered dine-in with rainbow rolls and they were good. The customer service was good too, the waiter seemed new but was polite and made sure to check in and apologize when our food was taking a while to prepare. I hope I get to come back again sometime :)
The food had no taste and the service was horrible they are all upset.
Tokyo Bowl is Japanese fast food and is located near Marshall's in Porterville. The fried rice here is scrumptious and can be made with meat or without. We had chicken fried rice and loved every bite. The tempura rolls however, were too sweet. They tasted more like dessert because of the added sugar and they weren't what we're accustomed to. There is a large menu to choose from.
The worst service ever! We tried to ask for the food and they didn’t wan’t us to answer about the specifications that we asked about the dishes, when we was trying to explain our selfs, they didn’t bother to hear us and they ask us to leave the place and for the first time in our life they denied us the service.
When we were leaving, a ladie come up with us with food she asked to go in the same place and told us that she wanted to report them for the bad service, so it was not just us, they are rude and with a terrible service in general with the public.
As its namesake suggests it’s best for the rice bowls. The tempura is not bad and the teriyaki overcooked and the overly sweet clumpy sauce is the lowest consumer grade one can expect. The brownish gray sashimi is inedible and may actually be unsafe for consumption. We must always context our expectations when visiting rural areas. Too many types of music playing from different phones relegates this place better for takeaways.
Honestly the food isn't bad, just the service. I don't mind waiting for my order a bit more, but twice as long as expected is ridiculous. Especially if your watching dine in customers come in and eat AND finish all before your pre ordered food is ready.
I love Tokyo bowl, the service is always great and the food is super scrumptious.
