Best KPortal Reviews
We are visiting this area and have been here 4 times in 3 weeks. It is that good. The food is delicious and savory. The bulgogi is marinated well and cooked in the back. The sondubu (tofu stew) warms you to the core and tastes wonderful in every bite. We went there so many times the owner gave us complimentary fried dumplings. They were pretty tiny but tasteful nonetheless. The prices are average compared to other foods here in Fairbanks. You definitely get a bang for the buck though. The bulgogi is big enough for two depending on your appetite. It’s a mountain of beef. So if you’re visiting and in the mood for Korean food give Togo Korean Kimbob a chance.
We were the only customer and the owner was very accommodating. Area is small but clean. We ordered spicy beef bulgogi and the mister finished his. I had a kimchi soup which was a bit salty for my taste. However, it is hot and nice with rice.
They served extra rice and side dishes as seen in the pictures.
Food is always so fresh and delicious, the land lady is also so kind. Everything off the menu is great, but the Tuna Kimbap and ice plum tea is the best ????
Came here about a month or so ago before the closing and reopening and loved it! It was the standard of Korean cuisine in Fairbanks! Came back tonight hoping to have the same delicious beef bulgogi that I had before, but they only have SPICY beef bulgogi and could not make it without being spicy. I was sharing with my child and he doesn’t do well with spicy food, so I had to get chicken bulgogi instead. It just didn’t hit the spot and wasn’t worth the visit in my opinion. I’m disappointed :(
This has been our go to spot for Korean food. We ordered Jung’s Bulgogi Combo (beef, chicken, pork), Bibimbap, Teriyaki Beef Bulgogi, Beef Broccoli Stir Fry, Pan Fried Dumplings, Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Yakisoba, Chicken Fried Rice, everything turned out really good. You get generous portions of meat here. Will be back here again for sure, thank you.
Spicy pork bulgogi and service are always great!
Update 6/26/2023
We've tried to eat here a few times over the last couple months and each time they have been closed during their "Open hours". My favorite Korean food but difficult to get here when open.
Formerly Jung Korean (which I rated 4+star) is now poor quality bulgogi meat (chewy, fatty, taste old but smothered in sauce that was burnt); rude waitress who was on her cell phone yelling & laughing so loudly I could not hear my companion. The only good thing was the plum tea. Outrageous prices. I will never return.
I've been to multiple Korean restaurants in this area and Jung's is simply amazing! Their quality and cleanliness is what makes them stand out. Side dishes are always fresh and plentiful, main dishes are authentic and taste just like home. Hands down, this is the best Korean restaurant in Fairbanks.
