Best KPortal Reviews
My review is solely on CLEANLINESS. I had no issue with the food (although it wasn’t like the best) or the waitress which was super sweet with us. I just have to be honest and say that this place was dirty. From the actual restaurant, all the way to the utensils and cups. I’m a germaphobe so I honestly didn’t even want to eat when I saw my utensils. When I tell you that they were covered with layers of gunk, you probably wouldn’t believe me. Because I couldn’t believe it myself! Their stuff hasn’t been scrubbed in years. I asked for another set of utensils, & was given new ones that were still filthy. Just for reference, I scrubbed the spoon(look at the napkin). I scrubbed only a little. This is just unhygienic, unhealthy, and disgusting. I’m sorry to use this language but it’s true. I will not go back again.
Great food and service. Ordered the chilaquiles and they were cooked to perfection. Food came fast and coffee was delicious. Will be back when we’re in the area.
Parking was easy and we were seated quickly. It didn't take long to order it get our food. The only delay was in getting more coffee and that was just because they were waiting for the new pot to finish brewing. The service was good and I tend to feel comfortable in diners like theirs. The worst aspect, sadly, was the food. It was edible, it just wasn't that good. Neither my husband nor I enjoyed what we got much, but we ate it because we were hungry. I don't think we'll be going back.
Great brunch place! We tried it out our first morning in town and went back every single morning of our trip to work through the menu because there was so much we wanted to try! Highly recommend the carnitas and eggs, although everything we had was excellent. The coffee was quite good too, and it's a bottomless cup. Peter was our server every morning and he was great, really went above and beyond. We ate exclusively on the patio and can say it's a great outdoor space, mostly covered and doesn't feel cramped at all. Wheelchair accessible.
Great outdoor setting. Had The Toasted Bun Burger, french toast with fruit. Delicious ????.
The burger had great flavor and the egg was just right in the consistency. Lot of food, and worth the price.
As for the French toast, it was splendid. The fruit was fresh and the texture when your take the bite of the French toast was awesome. Just the right balance of flavors and presentation was beyond well. Look forward to dining again.
The food here is great the portions are big sizes. You will get full. The waiters and waitress are very nice. They stop several times to check if we needed anything and to refill our cups. Wheelchair accessible, kid friendly. $ to $$
A good discovery as result of something needing a place to wait within walking distance after dropping off a vehicle for brake job. We have been looking for a no frills casual restaurant with good food close to us, and based on the 2 visits, think we found the place!
In heart of the dealership row in Glendale, this 59 year old local "mom and pop" restaurant has quite extensive menu for breakfast lunch and dinner - with limited cocktails and $6 Mimosas. Simple decor, photos of the owners with floral arrangements at the restroom entry, comfortable booths, chalkboard and paper menus, indoor and covered patio in the parking lot. There is also weekend brunch.
It can be challenging to choose a meal, but if you have a particular taste for sandwich, salad, light lunch or even large meal, chances are you can find it on the menu. Both times while we were waiting, we watched servers deliver these fantastic plates to patrons around us.
We look forward to future visits to try the many different offerings.
At time of our visit, there was no proof vaccination required or mask mandate. Because this is constantly changing, I would check their website or search for information on the current COVID mandates. There is no fee to park; there is limited parking near the back entrance, but it is a large parking lot.
Unfortunately there isn’t anything great about this greasy spoon place, with a couple of exceptions, in my opinion.
Went there for breakfast since it’s not too far from where I live.
Pros: Plenty of on-site and off-site parking.
Large outdoor covered patio
Waitress was attentive (it was slow)
Cons: Like most places these days, higher
prices for what is served.
Eggs and tiny sausage were cold.
Pancake was overcooked and chewy.
Coffee was nearly warm, coffee mug had
cracks (See pics)
Tiny men’s bathroom – not in good or
clean condition.
It’s not a place I could recommend. For better quality and similar priced breakfast, go to iHop.
